Behanan has been suspended indefinitely for violating a university policy, Sports Illustrated reports.

Behanan is not allowed to be with the team during his suspension, and is first eligible to return in mid-December, although Louisville coach Rick Petino suggested that a return at this time is "not probable." Behanan was a key contributor to last year's national championship team, as he started 37 games, averaging 9.8 points and 6.5 rebounds. A return this season isn't completely out of the question, but Behanan will have to work on his off-court issues before Petino can seriously consider re-admitting him back to the team. This should boost the stock of Montrezl Harrell even more in the early season.
