| Thanks for all of the great advice over the course of this season. You guys definitely made it worth the investment!
These are my final two questions of the year.
1) Running Back....need two out of Joseph Addai, Brandon Jacobs and Marion Barber. Addai is a clear cut #1 according to the line-up chooser but Jacobs and Barber are in a dead-heat for #2. Your thoughts? Jacobs was the only one to do anything last week.
2) Wide Receiver...need two out of Marques Colston, Wes Welker and Bobby Engram. Colston is a lock for my #1 but what about Engram or Welker to fill #2?
Thanks, again!

| Steve,
Thanks for the props. Glad we could help. Let's do it one more time...
At RB, I agree on Addai, presuming what Dungy said today is true and the starters play as normal. (Remember, the Colts' playoff seed is set, so their game is meaningless.) After that, Barber is the high-risk, high reward choice of the two. He could go crazy, but he could do nothing as well. You know Jacobs will get you something, but his upside is limited since he's losing the goal line carries. I'd go Barber. However, this is one of the few instances where I might look at my opponent's lineup before deciding. If he has a team of studs (think Brady, TO, Westbrook, LT, RMoss, etc), then you might need to shoot for the upside of Barber. But if your team is better than your opponents and you'd rather take the guaranteed or "safe" points that Jacobs will give (to ensure you don't get nothing from Barber), there's nothing wrong with that.
At WR, I'd wait as long as possible, checking for weather updates. If I woke up Sunday morning and it's windy in NE, then I prefer Engram. If it's nice, though, then I'd play Welker.
Good luck

| I review the "line-up chooser" but I like hearing straight from the experts! You guys have been dead-on with every question this year.
Two questions this week.
1) Running Back. Need 2.
DeShaun Foster
Brandon Jacobs
Adrian Peterson (Chicago)
Marion Barber
Joseph Addai
2) Wide Receiver. Need 2.
Bobby Engram
Marques Colston
Wes Welker
Thank you!
Steve Carlton |
| Steve,
Thanks for the props. Glad we have helped you out so much. Let's try to keep it going.
At RB, I like Addai and Barber. Addai is an elite option and though the Ravens is a tough matchup, he could easily get multiple TD runs from short distance. Barber is close to Peterson and Jacobs but plays in the best offense and will probably have the most chances to score. And I think the Boys score on the ground this week against a reeling Lions team.
At WR, I'd go Colston and Engram. They are all close, but the Steelers are the first-ranked defense and Colston and Engram both have solid matchups. Engram is getting a lot of looks with Hackett out.
Good luck

| should i drop laurence maroney for cedric benson |
| Lots of Maroney questions this week.
Look, I dislike Benson - a lot. We at rotowire.com have repeatedly ripped on him. (I think he was downgraded like 3 weeks in a row in Dalton's column.) But at this point, here's what we know about Maroney: 1. The Pats don't want to run; 2. The Pats don't have to run; 3. Even when the Pats do run, they divide the carries; and 4. The Pats are trying to keep Maroney healthy for the playoffs.
I know it's NE and that the potential is there, in theory, for Maroney to get a 100yd, 2-3TD game. But I would stop waiting for that. I don't think it's going to happen - and if it ever does, it's impossible to tell when it will, and Maroney probably will have killed your team by then with all of these bad games.
As crazy as it sounds, I would drop Maroney for Benson.
With his solid game last week, you at least know Benson is going to keep getting 20 or so carries a game. That's more than you can say for Maroney at this point. |

| You've given me great advice over the season by the way, helped me to be tied for first at the moment!!
I can start a max 4 WR's out of Holmes, Evans, Brandon Marshall, Ike Hilliard or Roddy White. Then a possible 3 RB's (one flex WR/RB) out of Addai, Barber, White and Graham.
What do you think of Whites value for the last stretch of games, especially with his nagging injuries and inconsitent play? Also, do you like Evans, as the Bills will be throwing all day to catch up to NE? even with his not so good game last week? |
| Congrats on the good start so far. I don't love Evans this week - his track record against the Pats is pretty poor, actually.
I'd go with at WR: Holmes, Marshall and Roddy White.
I'd go with at RB: Addai, Barber.
At flex: LenDale White, assuming that the practice reports on Thursday and Friday are positive regarding his knee - the tricky part is that he has a Monday night game, so you'll have no recourse if there's a setback. Otherwise I'd go with Evans.

| Hello,
For the first week of games...
I need one running back out of Marion Barber, Norwood, and Ronnie Brown.
I need two receivers out of Kennison, Brandon Marshall, Drew Bennett, and DJ Hackett.
And one tight end out of Pollard and David Martin.
Thank you very much,
Josh. |
| Josh,
I'd go Ronnie Brown - I don't believe the Chatman talk that much, and at worst he's in the same situation as the other two. I'd go Hackett for sure and probably Kennison against Houston. Bennett's a little banged up, and Marshall's so unproven. I'd go Martin over Pollard probably, but that's 50/50.
Good luck,
Chris |

| should i drop mark clayton or DJ hackett to pick up jacoby jones? I know that J. Jones will give me points via wide receiver as well as kick off. |
| I wouldn't do it - Jones has a lot of long term upside, but figures to start the year as Houston's No. 3, and Clayton and Hackett could easily be top targets in their offenses.

| Vey simnple question for you. Up until this point I always thought that Andre Johnson should be ranked ahead of Anquan Bolden, but when I see Houstons schedule, plus a new QB in there, I am concerned that AJ, going against the best pass defenses in football, might not be the best bet. I have an opportunity to trade Bolden for Johnson straight up....would you do it? |
| I'd rather have Johnson - Matt Schaub is a big upgrade over Carr. He won't take as many sacks, and will throw the ball further down the field. The schedule's worth looking at, but it's based on last year's stats. This year's pass defense stats are going to be different.
