Isbister did not report to the Binghamton Senators, despite being assigned to the AHL farm club last week, as reported by Sportsnet.
ANALYSIS
Ottawa will somehow need to soilder on without Isbister. He'll likely latch on somewhere else but won't be relevant to any fantasy league.

Isbister will likely spend most of his season with the Binghamton Senators of the AHL. If he is called up to Ottawa, it will be because of injuries to Ottawa's forwards. In Binghamton, Isbister will be looked upon to bring some leadership to a relatively young group of forwards on Ottawa's farm team.
Isbister is the latest reclamation project to get a look with the Sedins, Daniel and Henrik. His big body and right-handed shot makes him an ideal player to slot in on the right wing. Whether this experiment produces the second coming of Anson Carter, or simply adds another name to the growing list of line mates for the twins, will be answered in preseason and early in the year - stay tuned.
Relying on Isbister for fantasy production is a risky proposition, one we can't recommend. His peak season was way back at the turn of the millenium with the Islanders, and generated only about .65 points per game. Given the other talent on the roster, he is unlikely to affect many fantasy leagues' standings.
The Bruins are hoping this once-promising power forward will suddenly rediscover and deliver on the "potential" so many saw in him in his younger years. However, Isbister is an oft-injured big man who takes way too many shifts off, and we think he'll simply continue to slip away. Draft him only if he ends up working the wing with either Joe Thornton or Alexei Zhamnov, as points may come simply by osmosis.
