Retired
January 26, 2015
NBC Sports Group has reached an agreement with 1999 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion and 2014 NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee Jarrett, who will serve as a pre- and post-race analyst during live coverage of select NASCAR Sprint Cup and NASCAR XFINITY Series racing on NBC and NBCSN, NBC Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Jarrett has done a lot of broadcast work in the past, so he's a natural selection for the NBC team. He will handle both pre- and post-race coverage as well as analyst during the races. NBC's coverage starts with the July 4 weekend race at Daytona.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2008
2006
Jarrett will only race in the first six events of 2008 in the No. 44 Michael Waltrip Racing Toyota. He will then turn that ride over to David Reutimann and head for the greener pastures of retirement. Jarrett’s fantasy racing value is severely limited due to his abbreviated schedule this season.
Jarrett had a 15th place points finish in 2005 after being in the top 10 for a good part of the season. It's not clear if this team can get any better than that, and likely Jarrett is headed for a similar 2006 season.
