Speroni made nine saves in Wednesday's 2-0 loss to Man Utd.

With a look ahead to the, so important, weekend's FA Cup action Wayne Hennessey was a healthy scratch which opened the door for Speroni to grab his first game of the season. The 36-year-old veteran was a busy, busy man but handled the pressure magnificently making some world class saves to salvage a respectable loss at Old Trafford. Despite the savvy performance, though, Speroni will step back to the bench next game with Hennessey taking his starting place between the posts.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Speroni could get the start on Sunday against Liverpool if Wayne Hennessey, who is dealing with a knock, can't go.

After starting all but the last two Premier League matches last season, Speroni has yet to feature for Palace this season. With nearly 400 appearances to his name for the Eagles, the 36-year-old is in unfamiliar territory as the backup. With Liverpool on a good run of form after dismantling Manchester City during the week, fantasy owners may want to avoid the Argentine keeper.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Speroni is not in the 18-man squad for Saturday's match against Southampton.

After suffering a finger injury, Alex McCarthy and Wayne Hennessey have admirably held down the fort. Thanks to a strong run of form from Hennessey and fitness issues for Speroni and McCarthy, the latter two have jockeyed for the backup goalkeeper role while Hennessey continues to rack up starts.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Speroni (finger) may appear in a few matches for Palace's U-21 side to get him Premier League match fit, Mark Ritson of Local World Media reports.

Speroni sustained a finger injury during the preseason and has been out ever since. Last season, he started all but the final two matches, recording six clean sheets in 36 matches. Once ready, he should regain his place as the first-choice keeper for Palace.

Speroni (finger) is not in the 18-man squad to face Spurs on Sunday.

Speroni has returned to full training, so it's unclear how much longer he'll need before he's able to be selected. Alex McCarthy will get the start Sunday, with Wayne Hennessey the backup.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Speroni (finger) has returned to full training, but Alex McCarthy is expected to start Sunday against Spurs, the Croydon Advertiser reports.

McCarthy has played well in Speroni's absence, but it's unlikely that the former has replaced the latter on a full-time basis, which could allow Speroni to return next week against Watford.
