Welbeck scored a goal as a substitute in Saturday's 1-0 victory over Norwich City.

After a number of starts in a row, Welbeck has been relegated to the bench of late, but that didn't stop him from being the key element to unlock Norwich's defense. Welbeck has four goals and two assists in 10 Premier League appearances and has done more than enough to supplant a struggling Olivier Giroud in the starting XI for the final two matches as his pace can give opposing back lines nightmares.

Welbeck rattled off five shots and created an assist on his lone key pass of Sunday's draw with Crystal Palace.

Welbeck aggressively looked for his own shot Sunday, but his greatest contribution came when he wrestled the ball away from an opponent and chipped a pass that Alexis Sanchez nodded home. Welbeck has heen in good form, with two goals and two assists in his last five domestic appearances, and he will look to get back in the goal column when Arsenal face West Brom on Thursday.

Welbeck tallied an assist in Saturday's 3-3 draw with West Ham.

Welbeck struggled to put his mark on the match as a striker, but was able to nicely play the ball to Laurent Koscielny for the equalizer in the 70th minute. His pace and form of late has kept Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott relegated to the bench as he has three goals and an assist in seven matches since returning from an operation on his knee.

Welbeck sat out training to rest as England continue to prepare for the upcoming friendly versus Germany, the Mirror reports.

It sounds as if nothing is physically wrong with the striker, and that the rest day was simply part of a program the national team agreed upon with Arsenal. As such, Welbeck could be available for Saturday's match, though it is unclear if he will be included in the starting lineup.

Welbeck scored a goal on one shot in Saturday's 2-0 victory over Everton.

After needing only seven minutes in his season debut to make Arsenal fans remember who he was after a lengthy layoff due to a knee injury, Welbeck has scored four goals in nine matches across all comps to snatch the starting striker role from Olivier Giroud and doesn't look like he'll let go any time soon. With expanding attacking options, Arsenal still has an outside chance at the title, but will need Welbeck, Giroud and others to up the attacking pressure and finish (a piece that's eluded both target men throughout their careers) to stay in the Champions League places.

Welbeck scored a goal on three shots (two on target) in Sunday's 3-2 defeat to his former team, Manchester United.

With a bevy of attacking options, Welbeck still managed to crack the lineup and played 83 minutes, his longest run since returning from major knee surgery. He now has two goals in two Premier League appearances and is looking like the lethal goal scorer United hoped he could be before selling him last January.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Welbeck scored the match-winning goal in his first appearance of the season in Sunday's 2-1 victory over Leicester City.

Introduced in the 83rd minute for the first time this season after missing the past 10 months with a major knee injury, Welbeck provided an instant spark. His first chance was very nearly a goal itself, but wasn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth twice, calmly slotting home Mesut Ozil's well-weighted free kick in the back of the net to secure the three points. Arsenal features a glut of attacking options, which makes Welbeck's role tough to gauge on a regular basis. However, he provides a rare combination of skill and speed and could be an excellent super-sub for the Gunners moving forward. Thanks to his lengthy layoff, his minutes will likely be carefully managed.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Welbeck is nearing full fitness and could return for next weekend's FA Cup match versus Hull City after recovering from a knee injury.

The 25-year-old has not played a senior match this season, but he featured for the U-21s last week and has returned to full speed in training. As such, Welbeck could make his season debut next week after a little more time to sharpen up.
