Ozil assisted on both Arsenal goals in Sunday's 2-0 victory over Everton.

It wasn't Ozil's sharpest effort, though he made smart, accurate deliveries on both scores. The Gunners will take it, a notable step up in form after the ugly midweek loss to Monaco in the Champions League.

Ozil picked up an assist in Tuesday's 2-1 victory over Leicester City.

Ozil's snappy corner was converted into Laurent Koscielny's seal-breaking tally, and a rebound of Ozil's turned into Theo Walcott's goal later in the half. Ozil can be a maddening player at times, but he's been engaged, and terrific, over the last few weeks (3-1-4 in four matches).

Ozil supplied Arsenal's only goal in Saturday's loss at Tottenham.

Ozil has now scored in all three matches he's played since returning from a lengthy knee injury absence. The German found himself in the right spot at the right time to finish his most recent goal, which came from a close range one-on-one situation after teammate Olivier Giroud misfired a shot attempt into Ozil's path Saturday. Nonetheless, for a supreme set-up man, Ozil finding the back of the net lately should boost his confidence in the final third heading into Arsenal's upcoming matches.

Ozil supplied both a goal and an assist in his return to Arsenal's starting lineup Sunday against Aston Villa.

Ozil's starting birth Sunday was his first in the Premiership since suffering a knee injury in early October. Despite the time away, Ozil showed no rust in his triumphant return Sunday, when he set up Arsenal's opening score with a sublime flick that sent teammate Olivier Giroud through on goal just eight minutes into the contest. Later on, Ozil returned the favor by finishing a one-on-one opportunity created by Giroud, which gave Ozil his second goal of this season. Firmly back in the fold, Ozil figures to start next weekend's North London derby and could quickly remind fantasy owners of his attacking acumen during the second half of this season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Ozil is in the starting XI for Sunday's match against Aston Villa.

Ozil's start is his first Premier League start since returning from his knee injury, and he'll line up alongside Santi Cazorla, who has played masterfully in Ozil's absence. While he won't have Alexis Sanchez to feed balls to, Theo Walcott is there to replace him now that he's fully fit.

Ozil (knee) came on in the 73rd minute for Olivier Giroud and finished with one shot and one tackle, while completing 22 passes, during Sunday's 3-0 win over Stoke City.

Ozil was making his first appearance since Oct. 5 against Chelsea due to the knee injury, but he looked solid in his limited time Sunday. If he can put together a full week of training, he has a shot of returning to the starting XI for next Sunday's crunch match at Manchester City.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Ozil (knee) is available off the bench for Sunday's match against Stoke City.

Ozil has been out since October, and while manager Arsene Wenger said he was cleared to play, he was unlikely to start right away after such a long layoff. If he does appear against the Potters, and has a good week of training, Ozil may return to the starting XI for next Sunday's match against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Ozil (knee) has returned to full training and he will be available for Sunday's match against Stoke City, manager Arsene Wenger confirmed Friday.

Ozil has been sidelined since early October, with Arsenal making it sound like the injury was minor but the German national team then ruling him out for 10-to-12 weeks. Either way, he has returned to fitness, though after such a long layoff, he is unlikely to start right away.
