Boruc (back) has been deemed fit ahead of Saturday's match at Aston Villa, the club's official web site reports. "Artur is OK - he's fit," manager Mauricio Pochettino said Thursday.

Boruc was expected to return last weekend against Cardiff City, but apparently wasn't ready to return. He'll do so this week to face a Villa side that will be without Christian Benteke, after he ruptured his Achilles two weeks ago.

Boruc was allowed a fairly uneventful game, which allowed him to post an 11th clean sheet through 25 outings this season. That impressive rate makes Boruc a fine option in fantasy leagues, but next weekend's match at Manchester City figures to require much more from the goalkeeper.

Boruc made four saves and picked up another clean sheet in Southampton's win over Hull City on Tuesday.

Boruc's clean sheet tally now sits at eight through 19 starts on the season. The Saints possess one of the league's more reliable defensive units, which makes Boruc a valuable fantasy commodity that won't force owners to break the bank in most formats.
