Olsson scored the winner in Norwich City’s 3-2 win against Newcastle at Carrow Road on Saturday.

Olsson’s arrowed last minute drive into the bottom corner of Karl Darlow’s net was a fitting way to decide an exhilarating relegation dog-fight. He will, however, have to do this more often to be a viable fantasy consideration.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Olsson had one cross, two tackles and a clean sheet in Saturday's 1-0 win over West Brom.

Olsson hasn't been a regular starter, with only 17 appearances (13 starts) in Premier League play, and hasn't made a huge fantasy impact off the bench, only logging two assists and no goals on the season. With Robbie Brady, who typically occupies left back, now injured again, Olsson has a chance to continue starting if the former is set to miss additional time.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Olsson kept a clean sheet in Saturday's scoreless draw with Manchester City.

Making his first start since Feb. 2, Olsson did a good job on the left side of the Canaries' defense against the Citizens. Due to injury and ineffectiveness, he's only made 12 starts, but has two assists in Premier League play and does provide some offensive push that few Canaries defenders can.

Olson (shoulder) was not included in Sunday's 18-man squad against Southampton.

Olson is still nursing a shoulder injury and taking Sunday off will allow him extended time to recover since Norwich won't play again until Sept. 12 following the international break. He tends to start when healthy, and he could certainly be included in the starting XI next gameweek as he looks for his first outing of the new season.

Olsson (shoulder) will not play Saturday against Stoke City, but could return to full training next week.

Olsson is an important piece of the Canaries' back line, so his return will certainly help in the defensive struggles Norwich have had so far. However, he's a fairly weak fantasy option in most formats.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

The FA has charged Olsson with improper conduct after he appeared to push the referee after being sent off in Sunday's defeat, reports the Daily Mail.

The charge would carry an additional ban added to his red charge offense. He has until August 14th to respond to the charge.

Olsson (shoulder) will not meet up with his Swedish teammates for the midweek friendly against Turkey. He will remain at Norwich so as the Canaries medical staff can keep an eye on his injured shoulder, according to the Eastern Daily Press.

Olsson will need shoulder surgery at the end of the season. Until then, Norwich are hopeful he can play out the remainder of the season, as they need every resource available in their battle against relegation.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Olsson played in a lively encounter against Germany in Stockholm on Tuesday, a game which the Swedes eventually lost 5-3. Olsson was on the score sheet a few days earlier, as Sweden beat Austria 2-1 to book themselves a World Cup playoff berth.

Olsson has scored more goals for his country than he has scored in his entire club career. It is good to know that he has an eye for the goal if he is ever pushed further up the pitch, but he is usually employed at left back when the Canaries take the field. So far this season he has only started in two league games, yet does have a goal to his name in the League Cup.
