Diame will miss Saturday's trip to Newcastle United, but the team is hopeful he will be able to return to full training within the next 10 days, reports the Hull Daily Mail.

Diame played an integral role in Hull City's attack before injuring his knee back in December. If he is able to return this season, he will likely be eased back into the rotation to prevent any further damaged to such a key contributor to the club.

Hull City manager Steve Bruce said Tuesday that Diame could miss the rest of the season because of his knee injury. "Diame is still in a knee brace and has another couple of weeks in the brace," Bruce said. "He's been in the knee brace for the last few weeks now and he's still a long way off from making a full recovery." He added, "There is a possibility that Diame could be out for the rest of the season, and it all depends on how he is when he comes out of the brace. We will just have to wait and see and hope that nature takes its cause."

Diame was one of Hull's best attacking options this season, scoring four goals in his first eight Premier League matches. However, after suffering the injury Dec. 3 against Everton, the Tigers' attack has gone nearly silent and things aren't looking up if Diame is unable to return this season.

Diame's scans on his knee revealed tendonitis and he received a series of injections to help recover, reports the Hull Daily Mail. The club is hopeful that seeing a specialist will speed up the recovery. However, club manager, Steve Bruce, noted they will not rush the midfielder back into action for fear the injury will flare up again.

Hull have really struggled offensively of late, and Diame's goal streak back in October feels like it happened years ago. He is out for Saturday's match against West Brom and will likely miss the next weekend against Chelsea. The club is hopeful for his return during the holiday stretch, but that will depend on how well he responds to treatment.

Diame will have scans on his knee Thursday to determine the extent of the injury he suffered in Wednesday's match against Everton, and he could miss six weeks if he needs an injection, according to the Hull Daily Mail.

Hull have really struggled offensively of late, and Diame's goal streak back in October feels like it happened years ago. The club will reveal more after the scans are reviewed, but he certainly seems highly unlikely to face West Brom on Saturday or Chelsea the following week.

Diame was in Hull City's Starting XI for Wednesday's match against Everton, but was subbed off in the 53rd minute with an apparent knee injury.

Diame had attempted just one shot before exiting the match early. While the injury is a concern, so to is his drop in production since the return of Nikica Jelavic to the lineup.

Diame was fit enough to feature in Hull City's Starting XI for Saturday's match against Manchester United. He managed to play 75 minutes before being subbed off but was unable to contribute with any shots or created chances as the Tigers fell 3-0.

Since scoring four goals in five matches, Diame has struggled to get on the stat sheet. He has gone goalless in the teams last five matches (four appearances).

Diame, who missed last Sunday's loss to Tottenham because of a knee injury, is expected to play this Saturday against Manchester United, the Hull Daily Mail reports.

Diame has been an excellent source of fantasy production this season and will get to face a Manchester United defense that has struggled this season, though they have played better of late.

Diame had scans on his injured knee come back negative and will be assessed in the days leading up to Hull City's match against Manchester United on Saturday.

The fact that there was no serious damage to Diame's knee is great news for Hull City as well as Diame fantasy owners. However, a matchup at Manchester United could limit his fantasy value if his playing time does not do it already.
