Diame was left out of the 18-man squad for Saturday's match against Hull City after suffering a setback in training earlier in the week, reports the Hull Daily Mail. His status for Tuesday's match against Liverpool is uncertain.

Diame had played the role of substitute in Hull City's previous two matches after coming back from a serious knee injury. With Hull City in a serious battle for their Premier League lives, they could certainly use the play of Diame. Four of Hull City's five remaining matches come at home, but the difficult opponents and uncertainty of fitness make Diame tough to trust for fantasy purposes.

Diame returned to the pitch as he came off the bench in the 70th minute of Saturday's 3-1 loss to Swansea City. He picked up a yellow card and was unable to get anything going offensively in his limited action.

Saturday was Diame's first appearance since December 3 after suffering a knee injury that forced him to miss 12 league matches. Before picking up the injury Diame had scored four goals in 14 appearances. If he can return to Hull City's Starting XI, he could provide some value down the stretch as one of the Tigers' better attacking options.

Diame (knee) is available off the bench Saturday against Swansea City.

Diame has been sidelined for nearly four months due to the ailment, so it's not surprising that he doesn't start his first game back. He was the Tigers' best offensive option before suffering the injury, and he should return to the starting lineup soon enough.

Diame has recovered from his knee injury, and he will be available for Saturday's match at Swansea City.

Diame was a big offensive force for the Tigers early this season, scoring four goals by mid-October, but he suffered multiple injuries and hasn't played since Dec. 3 due to the latest knee issue. While he may not be immediately inserted back into the starting XI, it will only be a matter of time before manager Steve Bruce gets him back in there to help the Tigers avoid relegation.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Diame will have a late fitness test to determine his availability for Saturday's match against Leicester City, but even if he passes fit, he will likely not start, the Hull Daily Mail reports.

Diame had four goals in his first five games for Hull, but they have really struggled in his absence, which could push manager Steve Bruce to overplay him early to avoid the relegation zone, where they are now. While he's not a great play while limited, Diame seems close to a full-go.

Diame is hoping to return from his knee injury March 14 against Leicester City, the Hull Daily Mail reports.

Diame was expected to already be back from the injury, but he suffered a setback last week during training and had his return date pushed back. The Hull attack has picked up a bit lately, but it's far more dangerous when he's on the pitch.
