Clyne officially signed with Liverpool on Wednesday after transferring from Southampton.

Clyne was an excellent fantasy option last season, combining a relatively high number of crosses and clean sheets. He'll likely continue to be a highly sought-after fullback for fantasy purposes, though he may see a drop in shutouts moving to Anfield.

Liverpool have made an improved offer of 10.5 million for Clyne that has the potential to rise to 12.5 million.

Southampton rejected a 10 million bid last month but are reportedly preparing for life after Clyne, as fullback Cedric Soares has already been signed from Sporting Lisbon. It seems like only a matter of time at this point before the Saints receive the bid necessary to pry the 24-year-old away from St. Mary's.

Clyne enjoyed his best professional season for Southampton in 2014-15 as, he helped the club to the second best defensive record in the Premier League and established himself as one of England's top two-way fullbacks.

The 24-year-old was sound on defense and provided constant attacking support, and has already drawn interest from a number of big clubs, as well as the England national team, with his consistent quality. Clyne has stated that he would like to stay at the club but also iterated his desire to play in the Champions League, and his potential transfer could be one of the bigger headlines of the summer.

Clyne must decide on his future by the end of the season, per a deadline set for him by Manager Ronald Koeman, according to BBC Sport.

"We are talking to Clyne and his agent. We can't wait until the end of the season," Koeman told BBC. "It's not like we need to know today or tomorrow but we are talking to them and we will try to do everything to keep the player but you need both parties for that." Koeman wants Clyne to stay, but if the Englishman does decide to leave, it sounds as if the club will be active in replacing him.
