Butland has been able to leave the crutches behind as he continues to rehabilitate the ankle injury he suffered against Germany in March, reports the Daily Mail.

The England keeper will still miss the remaining season as well as this summer's Euro championship. After a doctor visit he revealed that he was off of the crutches and that the fracture he sustained is healing well. He is aiming to be full recovered for preseason training.

Butland is expected to miss up to three months after suffering a fractured ankle during Saturday's international friendly against Germany, the Stoke Sentinel reports.

Butland's injury is a huge blow, as not only will he miss the rest of the Premier League season, but he will also be unable to play for England during this summer's European Championships. Jakob Haugaard is expected to become the No. 1 keeper for Stoke, with Shay Given still unavailable due to injury.

Butland had to be stretchered off from Saturday's international friendly against Germany after suffering an ankle injury, and he will undergo scans in the coming days, the BBC reports.

Butland suffered the injury just before allowing the first goal of the match, forcing Fraser Forster to come on to replace him. The severity of the injury is obviously up in the air until the scans, but if he has to miss any time, Jakob Haugaard could take over for Stoke.

Butland had three saves while conceding one goal Saturday in a 2-1 victory over Watford.

Butland was tested late in the match as Watford was down 2-0 and pushing their squad forward. Butland had both his hands on the header from Watfordís Troy Deeney, but was unable to keep the ball out of the net. Butland has only recorded two clean sheets in his squadís last 10 league matches. Butlandís next chance to record a clean sheet will come April 2 versus Swansea City, who have scored only 30 league goals, tied for third-worst in league play.

Butland allowed two goals and made two saves in Saturday's 2-1 loss to Southampton.

Butland has won the race to the century mark, as he's the first Premier League keeper to reach 100 saves this season. Though Saturday was a relatively small fantasy day for Butland, neither goal should be on him and he should continue to be a top option between the sticks going forward.
