Long scored a goal on two shots (one on target) in Sunday's 4-2 victory over Manchester City.

Long opened the scoring in the 25th minute before Sadio Mane put City away with his treble. The Irish striker has been on a strong run of form, scoring three goals and adding four assists in his past five matches—collecting 13 of the 15 available points in those matches. On the season, he's up to 10 goals and four assists in 27 Premier League matches.

Long scored once and assisted twice in Saturday's 4-2 win at Aston Villa.

After opening the scoring with a headed finish, Long twice set up Dusan Tadic to pick up a pair of assists. Firing six shots in total, the Irish international just completely overwhelmed Villa's backline. If you've been riding Long during his recent run of form, he's worth a gamble next week against a City defense that tends to struggle away from home.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Long (dizziness) is starting Saturday against Everton.

The Toffees are using lots of squad rotation after playing midweek, so Long could have plenty of opportunities at goal alongside Graziano Pelle and Sadio Mane.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Long was taken off of last weekend's match against Newcastle due to dizziness, but he has fully recovered and is available for Saturday's match against Everton, manager Ronald Koeman said Thursday.

Long has been a vital piece of the Saints' attack this season, and he is likely to slot right back into the starting XI in the attack with Graziano Pelle and Sadio Mane.

Long scored with his only shot on goal and also added an assist in Saturday's 3-1 win over Newcastle.

Long's goal came four minutes in when he sliced through a hapless Magpies back line. His assist came late in the first half when he teed up Graziano Pelle's strike. The Irish forward has had a nice season, and this performance was one of his very best, though that's largely because he was facing Newcastle. Next week against an Everton team that allows its share of goals, staying with Long wouldn't be a bad option.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Long (knee) is fit to play Saturday against Newcastle.

Long has dealt with a few different injuries this season, though he's still managed to score seven goals in 22 appearances. If he was able to train enough this week, there is certainly a possibility that he could start Saturday, as manager Ronald Koeman clearly prefers to play him as much as possible.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Long (knee) is out Sunday versus Leicester.

As expected the forward couldn't make it back to feature in the derby. He has had a significant impact to the team this season and will be sorely missed in a crucial derby for the Saints. Graziano Pelle will get the start upfront with Jay Rodriguez and Charlie Austin available off the bench.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Long picked up a knee injury on international duty and is a doubt to play for Southampton at Leicester City this weekend, according to manager Ronaldo Koeman.

Long has been a bit of a bright spot for Southampton's attack in the second half of the season. Fortunately, the Saints welcome back Charlie Austin and Jay Rodriguez from injury. Still, in a tough matchup, whoever replaces Long probably won't have much success. Graziano Pelle, Dusan Tadic and Sadio Mane have been solid this season, but could find trouble at Leicester.
