Benteke is starting on Saturday against Bournemouth.

In his first Premier League action for his new club, Benteke will start up front with Connor Wickham, as Andros Townsend and Jason Puncheon start on the wings. Benteke has tremendous fantasy upside when he gets the playing time, which should be the case now with the Eagles.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Benteke started midweek for Crystal Palace in the League Cup, but may not be ready for another start so soon this Saturday against Bournemouth.

Having not seen much time in the preseason, it appears Benteke isn't ready to take on a full 90 minutes after only making it 45 minutes in the League Cup win. All signs point to Connor Wickham getting the start with Benteke likely being used as a substitute Saturday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Benteke signed a four-year contract with Crystal Palace on Saturday after transferring from Liverpool.

Benteke's move from Aston Villa to Liverpool was a total bust, as he found himself stuck behind Daniel Sturridge, Roberto Firmino and Divock Origi. His fantasy upside explodes with the move to Selhurst Park, as he is fully expected to start as soon as he acclimates, pushing Conor Wickham to the bench.

Liverpool and Crystal Palace have agreed to a 32 million transfer fee for Benteke and the forward is due to undergo a medical ahead of finalizing the move, reports the Daily Mail.

Benteke traveled to London Thursday afternoon to have the medical after Crystal Palace's revised bid was accepted by Liverpool. The London club's original offer was rejected by the Reds earlier this week.

Liverpool rejected a transfer bid of 30 million in total value from Crystal Palace for Benteke, reports the Daily Mail.

Liverpool has been set on recovering 32.5 million on any transfer of the striker, and are also reportedly seeking more of that valuation as guaranteed payment. The striker scored 10 times in 42 matches last season, and speculation continues to swirl around his future.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Benteke indicated that he is open to loan opportunities in order to help revive his career away from Liverpool, according to the Daily Mail.

The forward did not play in any of the matches in Liverpool's tour of the United States this summer, and appears to be bottom of the list of preferred strikers at the club. Benteke scored 10 goals in 20 starts for Liverpool last season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Benteke scored nine goals and added three assists while starting just 18 matches in all competitions last season.

After being acquired from Aston Villa for a hefty fee, much was expected from Benteke, but he made most of his appearances off the bench after the managerial position was taken over by Jurgen Klopp, who preferred the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Roberton Firmino and Daniel Sturridge up top. Benteke is expected to leave the club this summer in search of first-team football and will likely find himself in a different shirt come the start of the season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Benteke appeared twice off the bench for Belgium during Euro 2016, taking one shot on target and one dribble while moving his international record to 28 caps and six goals. Belgium suffered a shocking 3-1 upset defeat at the hands of Wales and were knocked out of the tournament in the quarterfinals.

Benteke started last season as a first choice striker for Liverpool, though, he faded away and ran out of favor. The 25-year-old forward, though, was productive with nine goals, three assists and an average of 2.1 shots per game in 29 Premier League appearances (14 starts) regardless of laying third in the depth charts behind both Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi in the second part of the season.
