Januzaj has joined Dortmund on a season-long loan deal, reports The Guardian.

Januzaj has fallen out of Manchester United coach Louis Van Gaal's plans and joins a Dortmund team already rich with midfield options. The playmaker is positive that he will make an impact at the club saying that “Borussia Dortmund is a big club and the fans are supposed to be unbelievable here...I want to achieve big things with this team.”

Januzaj was left off the 18-man squad for Sunday's match against Swansea after picking up an injury earlier in the week.

The severity of Januzaj's injury remains unknown but he'll be replaced in the starting XI by Ander Herrera in the meantime. Fortunately for Januzaj he'll get extended time to rest since United won't play again until Sept. 12 against Liverpool following the international break.

Januzaj converted his only shot of the day into the game's only goal to give United a 1-0 victory over Aston Villa on Friday.

Getting a somewhat rare start, Januzaj carefully slotted a 29th minute shot into the right corner of the net thanks to a deflection off a Villa defender. After being held without a goal across all competitions last season for both club and country, the 20-year-old midfielder showed that he's ready for primetime this season. With heavy competition in the United midfield, he'll need to keep up this form in order to continue seeing starts.

Januzaj's agent dismissed speculation that the midfielder is looking to move away from Manchester United and said the young player wants to become one of the club's all-time greats, according to the Daily Mail.

Januzaj has his share of suitors including Sunderland, Everton, and Real Sociedad. However, his agent said that the player would not be sold or seek to leave Manchester United.

Manager Louis van Gaal said Friday that Januzaj's ankle injury is not serious, though he is unlikely to be available for Sunday's match against Everton.

Even when he's fully fit, Januzaj doesn't get nearly enough playing time to make an impact in nearly any fantasy format.

Januzaj suffered an ankle injury during an U-21 match Monday.

Januzaj reportedly pulled up while chasing a ball down in the 54th minute and had to be subbed off immediately. He'll undergo scans to determine the severity of the ailment, though he's been a bit player for manager Louis van Gaal this season, so an injury absence isn't likely to dent many fantasy squads.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Januzaj admitted that he is having trouble adapting to the tactics employed by manager Lous van Gaal this season, reports the Daily Mail.

The young midfielder has only made six starts with the club since Van Gaal took over, but did play in Manchester United's last two matches before being left out of the team's FA Cup replay on Tuesday. He pointed out the defending duties of a wing-back as being part of his struggle.

Januzaj is in the starting XI for Saturday's match against Leicester City.

Januzaj gets the start on the right side of the midfield, with Juan Mata dropped to the bench. He's got plenty of firepower around him, with Robin van Persie, Falcao, Wayne Rooney and Angel di Maria starting, which could give Januzaj extra space to get close to goal.
