Lacazette is out indefinitely because of the thigh injury he suffered during Saturday's match against Bordeaux. "It's serious, because it's a relapse. It's really unlucky" president Jean-Michel Aulas said.

There's still no timetable confirmed for his recovery but an announcement like that doesn't bode well for the striker's immediate health. He is considered very doubtful for Lyon's Champions League and Ligue 1 fixtures this week.

Lyon are in the middle of an injury crisis and coach Bruno Genesio even announced that he'll start his explosive striker. Lacazette was replaced at half-time of Saturday’s 4-2 Ligue 1 loss to Dijon with a knee injury. “I felt a little pain in the knee and the staff preferred not to take any risks. I'll know a bit more Monday, for now there are no concerns, at least I hope not”, confirmed Lacazette after the match.

Lacazette scored his sixth goal of the season on three shots (two on target) and made two dribbles in one half of action. The international break comes in perfect moment for him and if it is indeed a minor issue he may not miss any time at all.

Lacazette converted two penalty kicks on five shots (three on target) and added two dribbles, two crosses and two key passes along with receiving a yellow card on five fouls.

Time is slipping past and the end of the transfer window is getting closer and closer with Lacazette remaining on Lyon's squad. If the striker is indeed preserved by his current team past 1 September he'll hold enormous fantasy upside during the campaign as Lyon are touted to be the team to challenge PSG for the title. Lacazette has already five goals in two games and with Lyon's total domination there's no reason to believe he'll slow down 27 Aug when visiting Dijon unless he transfers out by then of course.
