Lacazette took three shots, provided one key pass and scored his seventh league goal of the season in Saturday's 4-1 win over Troyes.

Last season's Golden Boot winner endured a rather pedestrian first half of the season in which he scored just eight times in 22 matches, but he began the second half of the season on the right foot. Lyon are languishing 25 points adrift of first-place PSG, and they will require Lacazette to recapture last season's form if they are to climb up the table. Lacazette will look to build off of his strong start to the second half in Wednesday's Coupe de la Ligue match versus the aforementioned league-leaders.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lacazette has taken a step backwards this season, scoring just six goals on 34 shots during his 15 Ligue 1 appearances.

Lacazette is coming off last season with the Golden Boot Award for Ligue 1, although that seems to be a distant memory at this point unless he can start to see better results during the remainder of the season. He still remains one of the elite options in Ligue 1, however, and could certainly be in store for a big finish at just 24 years of age.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lacazette exploded onto the scene this season for Lyon, totaling 31 goals and six assists in all competitions.

The 24-year-old was productive throughout the campaign and even scored 10 times during a six-game goal streak at one point en route to the Golden Boot. A 17-goal season in 2013-14 put the Frenchman on the radar, but he emerged as a top attacking talent this year, as only Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo scored more goals in a major European league. Lacazette is being chased by several major clubs at the moment, and Lyon may find if difficult to keep hold of him despite their strong desire to do so.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Despite not scoring in his final two matches, Lacazette won the Ligue 1 Golden Boot Award by scoring 27 goals in 33 appearances this season.

Lacazette broke out with 15 goals in 36 Ligue 1 matches this year, and he came very close to doubling that total this term. He scored consistently throughout the season, which included one hat trick and six braces, including three in a row at one point. Marseille's Andre-Pierre Gignac finished second with 21 goals, while PSG's Zlatan Imbrahimovic's final tally was 19.

Lacazette returned from his hamstring injury to start and play 67 minutes Sunday against Nantes, finishing with two shots (none on goal) and five fouls drawn.

Despite the muted output, Lacazette still has a seven-goal gap for the Ligue 1 lead, and he'll look to increase it Saturday against Lille.

Lacazette returned to training over the weekend and is expected to play Saturday against Nantes, ESPN FC reports.

Despite not playing since scoring against Metz back on Jan. 25, Lacazette still has the Ligue 1 goal lead with 21, seven ahead of Marseille's Andre-Pierre Gignac.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lacazette will not play Sunday against Paris Saint-Germain because of a hamstring injury, the Associated Press reports.

Lacazette, who leads Ligue 1 with 21 goals this season, suffered the injury last weekend against Mainz. The injury comes at a terrible time, as he has scored in nine straight games in all competitions, netting 13 times over that span.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Lacazette scored his 20th goal of the season during Lyon's 2-0 win over Lens on Saturday.

Lacazette has been in remarkable form of late, scoring in seven consecutive matches (five of which have come in league play), to net 11 times over that span. His 20 goals have come in 21 Ligue 1 appearances, a tally that has him eight clear of second-place Andre-Pierre Gignac of Marseille.
