Ter Stegen had a clean sheet in the Champions League Round of 16 against Arsenal on Tuesday with three saves.

Ter Stegen has been used sparingly in La Liga play this season but has made his mark in Champions League competition. In seven Champions League starts, he has three clean sheets and has only given up four goals. While ter Stegen has performed well it will be hard to see him getting more playing time during the La Liga season with Claudio Bravo being locked in as the starting goalkeeper.

ter Stegen made one save during Barcelona's 3-0 win over Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

Bayern was content to try and slow down the game in this one and rarely had chances outside of a few counter attacks, leaving ter Stegen with little to do. The clean sheet was the German's sixth of the season in the Champions League and he will continue to serve as Barca's cup 'keeper.

Ter Stegen is the goalkeeper of the future in Barcelona, but it will be tough for Luis Enrique to take Bravo out of goal after this impressive run to start the season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Ter Stegen has officially joined FC Barcenlona, moving on a free transfer from Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach.

The 22-year-old is widely considered one of the best keepers in the world and he will take over for Jose Manuel Pinto, who Barca decided not to re-sign. Barca's defense struggled this past season, recording relatively few clean sheets, so while Ter Stegen joins a much more victorious side, his fantasy doesn't necessarily explode.

Ter Stegen rejected a new contract offer from Borussia Monchengladbach, as he may be heading to La Liga side Barcelona at the end of the season, Sky Sports reports.

Ter Stegen is considered one of the best young goalkeepers in the world right now, and would immediately take over as Barca's top goalkeeper, with Victor Valdes already announcing his intention of leaving the Spanish giants at the end of this term.
