Pineaar took two shots and picked up an assist Saturday in a 2-2 draw with Leicester City.

Pineaar should see plenty of minutes as one of the only veterans on a very young Everton squad, although his fantasy value is a bit limited given his role.

Pienaar, who has been out since March with a knee injury, is set to return Sunday against Hull City, the club's official web site reports. "Steven Pienaar has trained really well this week," manager Roberto Martinez said Friday. "We still have two days of work and if he doesn't get any setbacks I expect him to be in the squad."

Despite the return to fitness, Pienaar remains a fairly unreliable fantasy option. The midfielder has one goal and two assists in 22 appearances this season.

Pienaar suffered a setback in his recovery from a knee injury and will be out for a few more weeks, Goal.com reports. Manager Roberto Martinez said "Pienaar is doing well, there has been a problem in his cartilage. He will be available in a couple of weeks from now. It is a setback, but he is trying to get fit as quick as he can."

Pienaar has appeared in 23 games this season, but isn't a consistent member of the starting XI, which makes him a fairly unreliable fantasy option even when he's healthy.

Pienaar will miss a few weeks due to a knee injury he picked up against Arsenal in last weekend's FA Cup match, the BBC reports.

Manager Roberto Martinez said this week that Pienaar was headed for a late fitness test before Saturday's Premier League match against Cardiff City, but if he is now out for a few weeks, it doesn't sound like he was ever really close to facing Cardiff on Saturday.

Pienaar, who picked up a knock in last weekend's FA Cup match against Arsenal, will face a late fitness test ahead of Saturday's Premier League match against Cardiff City, the Daily Express reports.

Pienaar is expected to be okay, although manager Roberto Martinez will likely have an update on his status later in the week. The 32-year-old has one goal and two assists in 23 appearances this season.

Pineaar replaced Ross Barkley after halftime and provided an assist on Steven Naismith's goal in the 2-1 win over Aston Villa on Saturday.

Pineaar has been recovering from a groin injury and this was the first time he looked fully fit. With all the injuries Everton are dealing with, Pineaar will be a crucial cog in that Champions League goal for the Toffees. Look for Pineaar to get more action next weekend against a tough Tottenham side.

Pienaar, who has recovered from a groin injury, was in the starting XI for Tuesday's match against Liverpool. He finished with one shot, and was replaced at halftime by Leon Osman.

Pienaar also picked up a yellow card, which only further frustrated fantasy owners who were hoping he'd play more than he did. Either way, he's back healthy, and should be fine for Saturday's match against Aston Villa.

Pienaar did not play in Monday's match at West Brom due to a groin injury he picked up against Norwich City the previous weekend.

Manager Roberto Martinez said that Pienaar will continue to be monitored, but it doesn't appear to be a serious injury that will keep him out for long.
