Sturridge (hip) is starting on Saturday against Burnley.

Sturridge was held out of Liverpool's Premier League opener last weekend due to his injury, but he'll slot directly into the starting lineup on Saturday in place of the injured Sadio Mane (shoulder). Sturridge is always a great threat in the attack, and while Burnley were good defensively in the Championship last season, they aren't likely to be as solid this term.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Sturridge (hip) is expected to be available to play on Saturday against Burnley, the Liverpool Echo reports.

Sturridge was held out of Liverpool's opening match of the season due to his injury, but it was not considered a long-term issue. However, given his limited training in the past few weeks, it wouldn't be surprising if he was on the bench for kickoff, with Roberto Firmino leading the line once again.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Sturridge (hip) is not in the 18-man squad to face Arsenal on Sunday.

Sturridge was doubtful to play due to his injury, and while he isn't likely to be out long-term, the club has no reason to rush him back before he's fully fit, especially with the whole season in front of him.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Sturridge (hip) is doubtful to play on Sunday against Arsenal.

Sturridge has been unable to train fully with the squad this week due to the injury, and given that it's just the beginning of the season, the club will try to err on the side of caution. If he does not start, Divock Origi or Roberto Firmino could lead the line.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Sturridge (hip) has not trained fully this week, and he remains questionable for Liverpool's Premier League opener on Sunday against Arsenal, the Liverpool Echo reports.

Given Sturridge's long list of injuries throughout his career, there is little reason for manager Jurgen Klopp to put him into the lineup before he's fully fit. If Sturridge is unable to play, Roberto Firmino could move up front, or Divock Origi could be used as the striker.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Sturridge is a doubt for next Sunday's Premier League opener against Arsenal due to a hip injury, the Liverpool Echo reports.

Sturridge has dealt with a plethora of injuries over the past few year, and while the latest one isn't considered overly serious, there is little reason to rush him so early in the season. If he is unable to play against the Gunners, Roberto Firmino could start up front, as could Danny Ings, Divock Origi or Christian Benteke.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Sturridge is entering the coming season high on confidence that his new conditioning program designed under manager Jurgen Klopp has made him better than ever, according to the Daily Mail.

Confidence is certainly high with the striker after a long period of injury troubles. He said Klopp has pushed the players to their limits on their summer tour, and the squad has never ben more fit.

Liverpool have created a specialized training program for Sturridge to maintain his fitness ahead of the coming season, reports the Daily Mail.

The forward has missed a lot of playing time the past two seasons with injury, and now the club has designed a program to help him avoid those troubles. He returned to Liverpool training last week after his summer break, and is at the club's base in Palo Alto in California to undergo extra sessions that are designed to build his strength.
