Begovic conceded three goals while recording five saves in Sunday's 3-0 defeat to Manchester City.

Pressed into duty midway through the last match against Swansea, Begovic looked up to the task of being the first team keeper for the Blues for the opening three quarters of the game before numerous defensive lapses allowed three to break the end line. While the scoreline may have been ugly, Begovic actually acquitted himself well, showing that he can be a sound option when pressed into duty. With Thibaut Courtois' suspension over, Begovic will likely return to being Chelsea's No. 2 keeper.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Begovic is expected to start Sunday against Manchester City in place of Thibaut Courtois, who is suspended after picking up a red card last weekend against Swansea City.

Begovic was brought in this summer to provide Chelsea with a legitimate option in goal if Courtois was unavailable, so while they will have a capable man guarding the net this weekend, it's a tall task for Begovic against arguably the league's best attack.

Begovic entered Saturday's match versus Swansea City in the 54th minute, allowing a penalty kick goal and making no saves during his abbreviated appearance.

The Bosnian started the match on the bench, but he was called into action after Thibaut Courtois was sent off for a foul in the box. Courtois will miss next week's away match against Manchester City and Begovic is expected to get his first competitive start in a Chelsea uniform.

Begovic has completed an 8 million transfer from Stoke City to Chelsea, ESPN FC reports.

Begovic joins Chelsea after making 160 appearances for Stoke City since 2010. Over that time, Begovic compiled 42 clean sheets in Premier League play, emerging as one of the country's best shot-stoppers. Now, at 28 years old, Begovic will move to one of Europe's biggest clubs, but the presence of first-choice keeper Thibaut Courtois surely means Begovic will be reserved for backup duty. As a result, the Bosnian's fantasy value takes a significant hit heading into the upcoming campaign.

Begovic had an excellent season for Stoke City, as he lead the club to the fifth-best defensive record in the league en route to a ninth-place finish.

The Bosnian played all but three league matches and kept seven clean sheets as the Potters finished in the top half of the table for the second straight season. Begovic has drawn attention from around the Premier League after several impressive seasons and will reportedly be allowed to leave for a bigger club this summer if he rejects a new contract with Stoke.

Begovic produced three saves during Stoke's emphatic 6-1 victory over Liverpool on Sunday.

Begovic only conceded to Liverpool's Steven Gerrard, who was making his final appearance for the club on Sunday. Overall, the Bosnian Begovic finished this season with 86 saves and seven clean sheets across 35 Premiership appearances. Although those numbers represent dips from his usual season-long totals, Begovic remains quality shot-stopper that should warrant interest from England and abroad during this summer's transfer window.
