Pirlo was credited with an assist on the game winning goal in Wednesday's 1-0 win over New England.

The assist was his second in as many games and he's tied with Thomas McNamara with six on the season to lead the team. His vision and set piece duties boost his fantasy upside, especially with talented attackers surrounding him.

Pirlo's corner kick found an unmarked Jack Harrison on the opening goal of a 2-0 win over the Red Bulls on Sunday. He committed four fouls and picked up a yellow card in the 76th minute.

Pirlo delivered his fifth assist of the season and is now tied for the team lead in that department. The Italian maestro's fantasy value comes in the form of set pieces and he has delivered with a free kick goal and an assist over the last two games at Yankee Stadium.

Pirlo curled home the beautiful free-kick that ultimately decided the game in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Union.

Pirlo didn't carry as heavy a load as he normally does, with Frank Lampard making his first start of the season, but he still stepped up to bury one of his trademark set-pieces in the 50th minute. The goal was Pirlo's first of the season, and the wealth of attacking options now at the club's disposal should see him primarily operate as a distributor moving forward. A fixture with Seattle is up next on the docket.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Pirlo had a pair of assists and two shots in 90 minutes playing time Sunday as NYCFC played Orlando City to a 2-2 draw at home.

Well-timed passes to R.J. Allen and David Villa in the 42nd and 66th minute of Sunday's fixture left Pirlo recording his first multi-assist performance of 2016 in the draw with Orlando City. Though A first-ever MLS goal continues to elude the veteran midfielder, Pirlo now finds himself tied with Khiry Shelton and Thomas McNamara as the club's leader in assists (4).

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Pirlo won five tackles, played four key passes and garnered one assist in Sunday's 2-1 win over Portland.

The 36-year-old played his typical role as a midfield facilitator for New York, and his largest contribution came when he teed up Thomas McNamara's winning strike in the 65th minute. Pirlo has just two assists to his name through 10 matches, making him a middling fantasy play heading into Wednesday's matchup with Toronto FC.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Pirlo recorded his first MLS assist on David Villa's 80th-minute goal during NYC FC's 3-1 win over D.C. United on Thursday.

Pirlo set up Villa perfectly on a pass that many would argue only he could make, though it should be noted a previous giveaway directly led to D.C.'s lone goal. Pirlo's spot in the starting XI is locked in, but he's not a big goal scorer, so high fantasy expectations should be put in check.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Pirlo was quiet in his first start for NYC FC, taking one shot and drawing two fouls in a loss to Montreal.

Pirlo showed his incredible free kick ability and his one shot was just off the mark, but he's a relatively limited fantasy option for the most part, as he doesn't take a high number of shots and is very dependent on other players to finish off his passes.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Pirlo is in the starting lineup Saturday against Montreal.

Pirlo made his NYC FC debut last weekend against Orlando City, and it was only a matter of time before he jump right into the lineup. He's a master of free kicks, but he doesn't doesn't score a ton and is a bit dependent on assists to make a big fantasy impact.
