Distin, who suffered a hamstring injury back on April 20 against Manchester United, did not come off the bench during Saturday's 3-2 loss to Manchester City.

Distin likely would not have provided much fantasy value in defense against Manchester City. He will look to return to the pitch for the final match of the season against Hull City and should have good value should he return.

Distin has been given a 50/50 chance to return for Saturday's match against Manchester City, reports Sky Sports. He missed last week's match against Southampton with a hamstring injury and is fighting to get back in time for Everton's crucial battle.

Even if Distin is able to play this weekend, a clean sheet from Everton is highly unlikely. He has not produced any goals or assists this season to provide value outside of keeping a clean sheet.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Distin will not play this weekend against Southampton due to the hamstring injury he suffered last weekend against Manchester United, the Liverpool Echo reports.

Manager Roberto Martinez also intimated that Distin could be lost of the remainder of the season, with that determination likely to be made within the next few days.

Distin suffered a hamstring injury during Sunday's match against Manchester United and will have a scan Monday to determine the severity of the injury, the club's official web site reports. "If it's damaged, it will be difficult for him to play again this season, But, if not, maybe a week or 10 days he will be fine," manager Roberto Martinez said after the match.

Antolin Alcaraz, who has battled injuries for much of the season, came on for Distin and will likely take his place in the starting XI for the rest of the season. Phil Jagielka is also a possibility, although he is dealing with an on-going hamstring injury himself.

Distin managed to play the full 90 minutes of Saturday's 2-1 victory over Norwich City despite manager Roberto Martinez thinking he would not be able to overcome a knock that forced him to miss the Merseyside Derby earlier in the week.

Distin did not provide much fantasy value Saturday after Everton allowed a goal to Aston Villa. However, Everton remain one of the best defenses in the Premier League this season and are getting closer to full health as key members, including Distin, have missed time with injuries. Their ability to keep clean sheets give Distin good fantasy value.

Distin (knock) is in the starting XI for Saturday's match against Aston Villa.

Manager Roberto Martinez indicated on Thursday that he did not think Distin would play Saturday, but not only did he return to fitness, he did so enough to get back in the starting XI. Fellow defender Seamus Coleman (hamstring) is also back, although he'll be on the bench for the start of Saturday's tie.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Distin (knock) is not expected to face Aston Villa on Saturday. However, Manager Roberto Martinez said that he expects Distin to be ready to face Tottenham on February 9.

Distin was unable to play in Tuesday's Merseyside derby, which turned into a disaster for Everton, as they got routed 4-0. It likely won't be as difficult for Everton to overcome his absence this week, although Distin will certainly be a boost ahead of the Tottenham tie.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Distin (knock) was unable to pass a late fitness test ahead of Tuesday's match against Liverpool.

There was some hope that Distin would be fit enough to play against a powerful Liverpool attack, but he was simply not up to it Tuesday. His next shot will come Saturday against Aston Villa at Goodison Park.
