Rafinha earned an assist on four key passes and registered a clean sheet in Saturday’s 3-0 win against Schalke 04.

The Brazilian defender also played seven crosses in the match, with three finding their intended recipient. Rafinha doesn’t have a goal yet this season in any competition yet has found ways to provide some value for Bayern Munich and fantasy owners. He plays in front of Manuel Neuer, who leads the league in clean sheets, and his assist Saturday is his third of the season. Rafinha will look to add to his numbers when Bayern Munich host Werder Bremen on Tuesday in the DFB Pokal before traveling to the capital to face Hertha Berlin next Saturday.

Rafinha, who missed the first month of the season due to an ankle injury, picked up an assist in Bayern Munich's 4-0 win over Hannover 96 on Saturday.

Rahinha has started both of the last two Bundesliga matches, but he's been in-and-out of the starting XI this season and doesn't figure in the attack much, which limits his fantasy upside in most formats.

Rafinha suffered an ankle injury during training Saturday and he could be out for an extended absence, reports.

Rafina appeared on his way out last summer, but got plenty of first-team action when Pep Guardiola took over. There are a few different options to replace him in the starting XI, which includes moving Philipp Lahm back to right back from the defensive midfielder role he played last season.

Genoa had added another piece to help improve its defense by acquiring the Brazilian right back from Schalke, reports.

Schalke have fined defender Rafinha a record €700,000 (£553,000) for making the trip to the Olympic Games, Sky Sports reports.

The Brazilian earned the ire of club bosses after travelling to Beijing against the expressed wishes of the Schalke management team and spending a total of 35 days away from Gelsenkirchen. He has taken his case to the international Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in the hope that the Brazilian Football Federation can be forced to pay the fine.
