Federici may be watching the next match from the reserves bench after another dismal performance, losing 4-2 to Chelsea on Wednesday night.

If for some reason you have Federici in your lineup, you may want to make other arrangements. Even if he keeps his job, his job security is the worst of any Premiership keeper.

Federici allowed Michael Kightly's bungled shot through his grasp but was bailed out by his teammates at the Madejski Stadium as Reading drew 1-1 with Stoke City.

After 20 clean sheets last term in the Championship it was shocking to see the usually sure handed Federici mishandle the ball. Howlers are usually not easy to predict, but Reading will need Federici to be at his best to have any chance to stave off the drop. He still remains a cheap, matchup play in Premier League Fantasy.

Reading's Australian netminder, Federici (ribs), has signed a new three year deal, BBC Football reports.

Federici is nursing a rib injury that he picked up during the offseason in Australia, but is expected to be fit for the start of the Premier League campaign. After being arguably the best goalkeeper in the Championship last term, Federici could be a bargain pickup as fantasy futbolers looking to save their budget for forwards and midfielders.
