Robben came on in the 64th minute and scored a goal on his lone shot in Wednesday's 3-0 win against Hertha Berlin.

Robben's goal was Bayern Munich's third of the day and an exclamation point on an impressive team performance. He was able to get the ball onto his left foot and curl in a dazzling effort around several defenders and keeper Rune Jarstein. The Bavarians are lucky to have Robben's services once again, and while he is sure to be productive if healthy, he may be starting on the bench for a run of matches until manager Carlo Ancelotti believes he can stay on the pitch for at least 60 minutes. Bayern Munich face Hamburger SV this Saturday.

Robben will start on the bench against Ingolstadt this Saturday.

Robben's road to recovery has been long and full of setbacks, so manager Carlo Ancelotti will likely ease him back into matches and gradually increase his workload. Although it's possible he may come on as a substitute this Saturday given Thomas Muller's absence and Bayern's busy match schedule at his time of year, Robben is a high-risk, high-reward fantasy selection at this point. Bayern Munich offers plenty of other productive and consistent starters for fantasy owners.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Robben is unlikely to play a part in Tuesday's Champions League match versus Rostov as he continues to reover from a thigh injury, Bayern Central reports.

Robben resumed training on Sunday following a six-week absence, but Bayern's depth and the quality of the opponent at this early stage of the competition will likely leave him inactive on Tuesday. He appears set to return to action soon, however, and could feasibly make an appearance at the weekend versus Ingolstadt.

Robben (thigh) returned to training Sunday.

Robben hasn't played since mid-July, when he was injured in pre-season match. He has accumulated a number of injuries that have held him out throughout his career. When healthy, he is one of the most exciting wing players to watch in the world.

Robben (thigh) is not in the 18-man squad for Friday's match with Schalke.

Robben suffered this injury in mid-July and is nearing a return to competitive matches. He could play in Munich's next match 13 September against FC Rostov.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Robben (thigh) is not in the 18-man squad to face Werder Bremen on Friday.

Robben's injury was expected to sideline him for six weeks, which would put his return some time in September, so it was not surprising to see him left out of Friday's Bundesliga opener. However, he could return for their next match, which comes 9 Sept. after the international break.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Robben will be sidelined for at least six weeks because of the groin injury he suffered during Saturday's friendly against Lippstadt, Bayern Munich announced Sunday.

Robben lasted just 45 minutes during the friendly, and while there wasn't much immediate concern, the injury is apparently more serious than initially expected. Bayern have plenty of firepower to replace him, and most of his time out will be before the Bundesliga season starts, but it's still not the right way to start a new season after he made just 18 appearances in all competitions last term due to various injuries.
