Routledge is expected to be sidelined until late February with an Achilles injury, Western Mail reports.

Routledge has made 23 total appearances for Swansea this season as he's managed to record four goals during that span of games, three of which came during Premier League play. The 30-year-old midfielder should be considered out for at least the next three weeks.

Routledge (groin) is expected to start training ahead of the Nov. 22 match against Manchester City, Michelle Fortune of Setanta Sports reports.

Routledge will likely head into the Manchester City match with an impending late fitness test. He'll have a full week of practice to test out his ailing groin, although that may not ultimately be enough time for him to regain his fitness if he has lingering pain.

Routledge has now been responsible for two of Swansea's goals this season and is lining up to be one of their more influential players. Despite the undefeated record at this point in the year, Routledge and his squad should face more of a challenge when they meet Chelsea on Saturday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Routledge had an excellent day, Saturday, getting a goal and an assist in Swansea's 3-0 victory over rivals Cardiff.

Routledge was the man of the match and couldn't have stepped up at a more critical time for The Swans. Despite the big day from the English midfielder, he doesn't get involved often enough for fantasy consideration in most formats.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Routledge is doubtful to play in Thursday's Europa League tilt with Valencia because of a calf injury, the BBC reports.

Routledge did some light training Wednesday, which likely won't get him ready for Thursday's clash. If he's unable to play, it certainly clouds his availability for Sunday's Premier League tie with Manchester City as well.
