Routledge (calf) is available off the bench Saturday against Norwich.

Routledge isn't likely to make much of an impact off the bench, if he plays at all, so he makes for a very unreliable fantasy option.

Routledge (calf) could be available for selection starting this week against Arsenal, the Evening Post reports.

Routledge has missed the past two games with a calf problem. However, he has been taking part in full training to prepare for the Arsenal match and will likely have a late-fitness test to determine if he'll ultimately be available.

Routledge is listed in the starting XI for Sunday's match against Manchester United.

Normal starter Jefferson Montero picked up a thigh injury earlier in the week which will ultimately allow Routledge a starting spot on the backline for the first time in Premier League play this season. The severity of Montero's injury situation remains unclear, but the impending international break will give him an added week of rest which suggests that Routledge may only have short-term value.

Routledge had season-ending ankle surgery this week, Wales Online reports.

The issue has reportedly been bothering Routledge for a number of weeks, and with Swansea well out of the relegation zone and not in European contention, it's the perfect time for the procedure so that he's fully recovered for next season. Modou Barrow was recalled from his loan at Nottingham Forest to help fill the void for the remaining five games.

Routledge is expected to be sidelined until late February with an Achilles injury, Western Mail reports.

Routledge has made 23 total appearances for Swansea this season as he's managed to record four goals during that span of games, three of which came during Premier League play. The 30-year-old midfielder should be considered out for at least the next three weeks.

Routledge (groin) returned to the pitch Saturday against Crystal Palace and managed to fire one shot on goal, although it was unsuccessful.

Routledge had been sidelined with a groin injury up until Saturday, although he seems to be in the clear moving forward. With two goals and one assist this season, the 29-year-old could pose a threat against QPR on Tuesday.

Routledge (groin) is expected to start training ahead of the Nov. 22 match against Manchester City, Michelle Fortune of Setanta Sports reports.

Routledge will likely head into the Manchester City match with an impending late fitness test. He'll have a full week of practice to test out his ailing groin, although that may not ultimately be enough time for him to regain his fitness if he has lingering pain.

Routledge scored his first goal of the season against West Brom on Saturday.

Routledge has now been responsible for two of Swansea's goals this season and is lining up to be one of their more influential players. Despite the undefeated record at this point in the year, Routledge and his squad should face more of a challenge when they meet Chelsea on Saturday.
