Mirallas is unlikely to play Saturday against Southampton due to an ankle injury picked up Monday against QPR, the club's official website reports.

Mirallas scored on a heavily-deflected free kick against QPR and has been playing very well of late, but he seems headed to miss out against a Southampton side that is in free-fall right now.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Everton manager Roberto Martinez said Tuesday that it will take another two or three days before the club can determine the extent of Mirallas' ankle injury, which he suffered Monday against QPR.

Mirallas scored on a wonderful free kick in the the 3-1 win, but he had to be stretchered off late in the match after suffering the injury. He appears fairly doubtful to play Saturday at Southampton unless he can make a quick recovery.

Mirallas scored off a free kick in the 3-1 win over QPR Monday.

He was lucky to get a very fortunate deflection off a free kick as it wrong footed the goalie and some how ended up opposite from the side he was aiming. With that said, Mirallas played well in the match, but was subbed off in the 90th minute for what seemed to be a leg injury after a rough tackle. Keep an eye next weekend on the status of Mirallas as Everton travel to Southampton against a very strong defense.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Mirallas led Everton with five shots in the 1-0 loss to Manchester City Saturday.

Mirallas has been very dynamic since returning from injury and seems to be contributing one way or another in every match. He'll continue to start and the Belgian appears to be Everton's best player at this point of the season. The offense has struggled a bit lately, so they'll look to get out of the mini-slump when they host QPR next weekend.

Everton are expected to offer Mirallas a new contract next summer, reports the Daily Mail.

The midfielder scored five times in 10 appearances so far this season, and the club will look to tie him down as long as possible.

Mirallas got an assist on a nice finish by Romelu Lukaku in the 1-1 draw to Hull City Wednesday.

Mirallas recently returned from injury and has looked good in his three starts since, grabbing a goal and an assist. He also got off two shots in the match and has recaptured the play-making role he had prior to his injury. Mirallas and Everton play Manchester City on Saturday.

Mirallas scored the only goal for Everton in the 2-1 loss to Spurs Sunday.

Mirallas looked strong Sunday, constantly harassing the Tottenham defense, while getting off two shots. Mirallas finally seems to be fully healthy after dealing with nicks all season long, so he is worth sticking in your fantasy lineup for the time being. Everton host Hull City on short notice this upcoming Wednesday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Mirallas (hamstring) got a surprising start in a 2-1 win over West Ham on Saturday.

Mirallas appeared to be poised to miss another week or so, but he made a surprise return from the hamstring injury that kept him out for the past few weeks. He played 66 minutes and got off a single shot, but it was just nice to see the young star back in the starting XI. Look for him to be starting again next weekend against Tottenham.
