Fabregas assisted on Eden Hazard's 77th minute goal during Chelsea's 2-0 win over Leicester on Saturday.

Fabregas now has three assists in two Premier League matches for Chelsea, as he looks to be exactly what they needed to further the attack from last year's squad that struggled at times to put the ball in the back of the net.

Fabregas had two assists during Chelsea's 3-1 win over Burnley on Monday.

Febregas made a brilliant touch pass of a half-volley to set up Andre Schurrle's 21st minute goal, and then his 34th-minute corner kick was banged home by an unmarked Branislav Ivanovic in the box. While he didn't take any shots in the game, Fabregas can be a dominant fantasy player, mostly with his still-impressive passing ability.

Fabregas assisted on Juan Mata's 82nd minute goal during Spain's 3-0 win over Australia at the World Cup on Monday.

Fabregas was noticeably absent from both of Spain's first two matches in Brazil, but finally made an appearance in the 68th minute in place of Santi Cazorla. With Spain already eliminated from knockout round contention, Fabregas will get a little bit of a break before making his Stamford Bridge debut later this summer.

Fabregas signed a five-year contract with Chelsea on Thursday, moving over from FC Barcelona, the club's official web site reports.

Fabregas joins the Blues after a very impressive run with Barcelona, which was preceded by a fantastic stay at Arsenal. The Gunners were believed to have a first crack at Fabregas if he ever came back to the Premier League, so his signing with Chelsea seems to indicate that Arsene Wenger passed on a reunion. Either way, he returns to England and should be one of the top fantasy midfielders next season.

Fabregas had two goals and an assist during Barcelona's 5-2 win over Getafe on Sunday.

Barcelona were down 0-2 after just 15 minutes, but a first half hat trick by Pedro put them ahead of good. Both of Fabregas' goals came in the second half, increasing his season total to seven, which he's coupled with nine assists in La Liga play. In addition, five of his goals have come in his last five league matches.

Fabregas, who was returning to the pitch after suffering a knee injury earlier this month, now has three goals and two assists in his last two La Liga matches. On the season, he has five goals and eight assists, the latter of which leads the league, along with Neymar and Koke.

Fabregas (knee) returned to training Tuesday and could be available for Saturday's La Liga match against Granada.

Fabregas felt pain in his knee toward the end of Barcelona's win over Real Betis back on November 10, a disappointing finish after he scored two goals and recorded an assist in the match. However, he appears to be on track to play Saturday and will continue to be an important part of the Barca attack, especially with Lionel Messi (hamstring) out until at least the new year.
