Fabregas has been ruled out of Spain's Euro 2016 qualifier against Belarus and a friendly against Germany due to a hamstring injury, the BBC reports.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho said after Saturday's match at Liverpool that Fabregas had been dealing with a hamstring injury and he was lucky not to suffer a setback during the match. The Spanish Football Federation said that an MRI did not show any tears, but he is reportedly still feeling pain in the area.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho said after Saturday's 2-1 win over Liverpool that Fabregas has been dealing with a hamstring problem, but he did not suffer any setbacks during the match.

Unlike teammate Diego Costa, Fabregas is in the Spain squad for their upcoming international matches, so he will not be able to rest his hamstring over the break. He played a full 90 minutes, completing 85.4 percent of his passes on 58 touches, and it wouldn't be surprising if Mourinho's comments are a hint to Spain manager Vicente del Bosque to take it easy on Fabregas in their two matches.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Fabregas scored his first Premier League goal of the season in Chelsea's 2-1 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Fabregas has been much more of a distributor than goal-scorer this season, coming into Sunday's match with a league-leading seven assists. He isn't expected to score a lot of goals this season, but the assists should surely keep coming if he can stay fit.

Fabregas assisted on Diego Costa's 78th minute goal in Chelsea's 2-0 Premier League win over Arsenal on Sunday.

Fabregas increased his league-leading assist total to seven on the season in seven games, putting him one ahead of Swansea City's Gylfi Sigurdsson.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Fabregas took two shots and committed two fouls during Chelsea's 3-0 win over Aston Villa on Saturday.

After posting six assists in his first four Premier League matches this season, Fabregas has been unable to play a part in any of the four goals Chelsea have scored in the last two Premier League matches, though he did score against Schalke 04 in the Champions League on Sept. 17. Fabregas remains an elite fantasy option and should play a big role in Tuesday's UCL match against Sporting CP before a bittersweet reunion against Arsenal on Saturday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Fabregas has assisted on two of Diego Costa's three goals during Chelsea's 4-2 win over Swansea City on Saturday.

Fabregas came into the match tied with Swansea's Gylfi Sigurdsson for the Premier League lead in assists with four, but his two helper on Saturday gave him sole possession of the league-lead through four matches.

Fabregas now has four assists through three Premier League games, exactly what fantasy owners were hoping for at this point of the season. He'll try to keep it rolling after the international break against Swansea City on Sept. 13 at Stamford Bridge.
