Krul allowed three goals while making four saves in Newastle's 3-3 draw with Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Krul had an erratic game which ultimately ended with a disappointing result for both Toon fans and fantasy owners. Krul is still a solid low cost fantasy keeper despite the mediocre results so far. Krul allowed two goals while making three saves in Newcastle's 0-2 loss to Manchester City on Sunday.

Krul's owners shouldn't have been expecting much from an opening match against the defending champions, so walking away with only two goals conceded shouldn't be considered a terrible result. Things should start looking up for Krul with a nice run of fixtures coming up against Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Southampton, Hull City, and Stoke.

Krul (knee) has returned to training and is in contention to start Saturday against Stoke City, the club's official web site reports.

Rob Elliott has filled in well for Krul, although if the first-team can return to fitness, he'll get the start against a Stoke side that has struggled to score for the most part this season and could be without midfielder Charlie Adam.
