Taylor scored a goal in Sunday's 4-2 win over Seattle. He also made four interceptions.

Taylor scored his first career MLS goal in just his second start for the Timbers. With Nat Borchers ruled out for the remainder of the season, Taylor will likely continue to start at center back for the remainder of the season.

Taylor will need a few weeks to work on his fitness before debuting for the Timbers, manager Caleb Porter said Tuesday, according to Jamie Goldberg of The Oregonian.

Taylor signed with the club this week after taking a break following the last Premier League season, and while Nat Borchers (Achilles) is out for the year and Liam Ridgewell has been slowed by a calf injury, Taylor isn't close to being ready to play.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Taylor signed with the Timbers on Monday.

Taylor, who was out of contract with Newcastle at the end of last season, is likely to get playing time right away, with the Timbers losing Nat Borchers for the season with an Achilles injury. Taylor is a solid centerback with plenty of experience, though his fantasy upside is likely limited to clean sheets.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Taylor (leg) was unused sub in Saturday's 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.

Taylor only made it back to the bench but even when he's fully health he'll probably stay there with Jamaal Lascelles playing very well at center back which will limit the former's fantasy upside significantly.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Taylor (muscular injury) didn't make the 18-man squad in Tuesday's 1-1 draw versus Man City.

The 30-year-old defender has found playing time hard to come by this year and also as part of the second-worst defense in the league he isn't much of a fantasy factor, anyways.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Taylor (muscular injury) will not play Saturday against Swansea City, manager Rafa Benitez said Friday.

The Magpies' defense has really struggled this season, so Taylor's injury absence isn't likely to cause many fantasy adjustments.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Taylor (hamstring) is available off the bench Saturday against Watford.

A defender on the bench isn't likely to provide much fantasy value, especially one that has been out for months.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Taylor is expected to return to training in mid-January as he works his way back from a hamstring injury, The Shields Gazette reports.

Taylor has been out ever since suffering the muscle tear in August, but he is progressing toward a return to the first team. He will likely need a couple of weeks of training under his belt to ensure that his fitness is up to par before returning to game action, making a return at the end of January a possible target.
