Messi scored two goals on four shots in Barcelona's 3-2 comeback win over Valencia on Saturday.

Messi opened the scoring for his side in the first half and capped the victory by driving home a penalty-kick winner in the 94th minute. Since coming back from a groin injury, Messi has been simply outstanding. He has scored six goals in his last three matches across all competitions and now has seven La Liga goals on the season. A huge match is likely in store for Messi and the Barcelona attack next week when they take on win-less Granada who have conceded 23 goals this season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Messi started Wednesday's 4-0 victory over Manchester City, winning two tackles, providing an assist and scoring a hat-trick from four shot attempts.

Messi wasn't at his best, but opportunistically took care of business in pouncing on a loose ball in the box for his first goal before making the Citizens pay for giveaways in their own end on the other two. He also won a penalty before Neymar misfired on the ensuing spot-kick, although he set the latter up for a goal just minutes later. Messi has shown no real signs of the groin injury that cost him nearly a month on the sidelines, with four goals and an assist in just 125 minutes of play since returning. He will carry this momentum into Saturday's league match versus Valencia.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Messi came on as a substitute in the 55th minute and scored his fifth La Liga goal of the season in Barcelona's 4-0 win over Deportivo on Saturday.

The only possible hindrance to Messi's fantasy value would be if the coaching staff decide to remain cautious and keep him coming off the bench for the next game or two. Barcelona play a weak Valencia defense in their next match, so there might not be a reason to push for him to play a full 90 just yet.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Messi (groin) is on the bench for Saturday's match with Deportivo.

Messi could return during the match as a substitute, but may be saved for 19 October match with Manchester City in the Champions League.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Messi was back at training this week and will decide before the match how many minutes he can play against Deportivo.

This is obviously good news for Barcelona as Messi hasn't appeared since Sept. 21 against Atletico. But due to Messi probably not playing the entire match and Deportivo having only allowed six goals in seven league matches, this may not be the weekend to select Messi.

Messi (groin) returned to the first-team training grounds on Wednesday.

Messi has been sidelined since the match against Atletico Madrid, where he suffered a groin strain in his right leg in the 59th minute. If deemed fit, which he's not yet been, he'll be expected to make his comeback against Deportivo on Saturday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Messi will be sidelined for three weeks due to the groin strain in his right leg suffered on Wednesday against Atletico Madrid.

Messi came off in the 59th minute of Wednesday's match, and while Barcelona have plenty of depth in their attack, there is no replacing Messi. Neymar and Luis Suarez will obviously take on more of the scoring burden, with Angel Correa, Paco Alcacer and Arda Turan looking at more playing time with Messi out.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Messi was replaced in the 59th minute of Wednesday's clash with Atletico Madrid with an apparent injury.

Messi slowly walked out during the substitution. The playmaker recently had issues with his groin and may have aggravated the ailment.
