Demichelis racked up nine clearances, two tackles, two aerials won and two fouls on the way to a defensive clean sheet in the 1-0 away win over Sunderland on Tuesday.

Demichelis had a quiet, statistically, game. Having a top class keeper behind your back always helps rise your fantasy production, though. That was the case in the game versus the Black Cats. The 35-year-old has been very lucky to pick up some serious playing time of late with injuries to Eliaquim Mangala and Vincent Kompany. This run, though, may come to an end over the weekend when Mangala is expected to be back and he may be urged back into the starting XI with City hosting the league leaders - Leicester.

Man City's attack may be a bit lighter without Kevin De Bruyne, but Sergio Aguero will still lead the charge this week against Sunderland's struggling defense.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Demichelis could get a rare Premier League start Wednesday against Everton, with both Vincent Kompany and Eliaquim Mangala ruled out due to injuries.

Demichelis has found regular playing time very hard to come by this season, but he'll get a shot Wednesday to partner with Nicolas Otamendi. It's unclear if Mangala will be available to play Saturday against Crystal Palace, and if he is not, Demichelis could get another go.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Demichelis (knee) is available off the bench Saturday against Swansea City.

Nicolas Otamendi and Eliaquim Mangala are the two centerbacks Saturday, and Demichelis only a slight chance to start when those two are fit.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Demichelis (knee) has been deemed fit for Saturday's match against Swansea City.

Despite the return to fitness, Demichelis is unlikely to start ahead of either Eliaquim Mangala and Nicolas Otamendi.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Demichelis is available off the bench Monday against West Brom.

Demichelis joins the club late this summer after participating in Copa America, so his place on the bench Monday is more a fitness issue than anything else. Eliaquim Mangala will partner with Vincent Kompany at the center back spots.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Demichelis has been deemed fit to play Monday against West Brom, though he may be held out after a late start to preseason following the Copa America.

Demichelis' spot in the starting lineup is tenuous, as it appears more likely the club wants to go with Vincent Kompany and Eliaquim Mangala as their center backs. Either way, those two will start the opener, with Demichelis fighting Mangala for playing time after that.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Demichelis will not play in the Premier League opener against West Brom on Aug. 10, as he was given a late holiday after participating in the Copa America, according to Stu Brennan of the Manchester Evening News.

Eliaquim Mangala will likely get the start alongside Vincent Kompany in the opener, something that is likely to happen quite often this season if he plays well. If Demichelis only misses the first game, he could be available Aug. 16 against Chelsea.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Demichelis headed home the equalizer in the 83rd minute of Manchester City's 2-2 draw with Arsenal on Saturday.

While Demichelis' clean sheet was gone after Jack Wilshere's 63rd-minute goal, he made up for it by heading home Aleksander Kolarov's corner kick. Eliaquim Mangala has returned to fitness, so it could be only a matter of time before Demichelis loses his spot in the starting XI.
