Benzema had two assists during Real Madrid's 8-2 La Liga win over Deportivo La Coruna on Saturday.

Benzema is certainly known more for his scoring prowess, but he was a distributor Saturday while watching Cristiano Ronaldo score a hat trick, while Gareth Bale and Chicharito had braces and James Rodriguez scored as well. Benzema now has a goal and two assists in his last two games in all competitions, but the emergence of James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale's continued ascension appears to be limiting his fantasy value in the early part of this season.

Benzema scored in the 79th minute of Real Madrid's 5-1 Champions League victory over FC Basel on Tuesday.

Benzema had a great look earlier in the game that was saved by Basel keeper Tomas Vaclik (James Rodriguez would bang the rebound in), but he finally got on the scoresheet when the rout was already on. His Champions League goal total now equals his La Liga one, with both expected to increase considerably as the season moves on.

Benzema scored in the 30th minute of Real Madrid's 2-0 win over Cordoba on Monday.

Benzema opened the scoring in a match that turned out to be much tighter than many expected. While he is often overlooked by Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema is still an excellent source of goals in fantasy leagues.

Benzema signed a new five-year contract with Real Madrid on Wednesday.

There were rumors circulating that Benzema could be on his way out this summer, but Real Madrid has squashed that speculation by locking up the striker to a new long-term deal. He was fantastic as the target man last season, scoring 17 goals in 35 La Liga matches, and there's no reason to expect any kind of drop-off in form in 2014-15.

Benzema recorded two assists and a goal of his own during France's win over Switzerland on Friday.

Benzema is proving himself to be one of the premier goal scorers in this 2014 World Cup as he's now scored three in just two games. On top of that, Friday's two assists bring his total up to three in that category as well. The veteran stands a good chance to bring more of the same to the pitch against Ecuador on Wednesday.

Benzema had two goals and was responsible for another in France's 3-0 win over Honduras in their World Cup opener on Sunday.

The lone-goal that Benzema didn't score was actually an own-goal by Honduras goalkeeper Noel Valladares off a shot from the French striker. It was an absolutely dominant performance and one that could carry France very deep in the World Cup if he can keep it going.

Benzema had two goals and two assists during Real Madrid's 6-1 victory over Schalke in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie.

Benzema, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo all scored twice in the rout over Schalke. While the latter two get plenty of attention, Benzema is an elite goal-scorer in his own right, finding the back of the net 20 times in all competitions for Real Madrid this season.

Benzema scored one minute into extra time in the first half of Real Madrid's 5-0 win over Real Betis on Saturday.

Benzema's goal was his 10th in La Liga action this season, after finding the back of the net 11 times last year in 19 appearances. He's been a very solid contributor this season and is often overlooked due to Cristiano Ronaldo's continued brilliance.
