Taylor is on his way back to full fitness after rupturing his cruciate ligament in his right knee twice over the last two year. The 29-year-old is four to five weeks away from match fitness, the Shield Gazette reports.

Taylor can play all over the field, giving manager Alan Pardew some depth in both defense and attack. The former England U21 international will most certainly be eased back into action to avoid any further setbacks, and therefore likely won't have much fantasy impact this season.

Taylor's goal in the 62nd minute ended up being all Newcastle would need in Saturday's 1-0 win over Sunderland.

A heated affair, as it always is in the Tyne-Wear derby. Taylor, who is an undervalued defender in fantasy Premier League, can bang in five to seven goals for the Magpies, but, they hardly ever keep clean sheets. He's very affordable for his level of production though.
