Negredo is in the starting XI for Wednesday's match against Sunderland.

Negredo has started only one Premier League match since March 1, but gets back in the XI with Sergio Aguero, who is making his first start since the end of January. Edin Dzeko had been in that role alone for the last month, but the Aguero/Negredo partnership that was so effective earlier this season will be back at it Wednesday against a weak Sunderland defensive unit.

Negredo (shoulder) is available off the bench for Wednesday's match against Tottenham.

Negredo suffered a shoulder injury last week, but it was not considered serious. With Edin Dzeko playing so well lately, City can afford to potentially sit Negredo to make sure he doesn't suffer any kind of setback.

Negredo (shoulder) is in the squad list for Wednesday's Premier League match against Tottenham.

Negredo suffered a shoulder injury in last Tuesday's Capital One Cup match against West Ham and was seen wearing a sling the next day. However, manager Manuel Pellegrini stated that it was merely precautionary. It's unclear if Negredo will start the match or if Edin Dzeko will play up front with Sergio Aguero at White Hart Lane.

Despite suffering a shoulder injury in Tuesday's Capital One Cup match against West Ham, Negredo is expected to play Tuesday against Tottenham, the Daily Mail reports.

Negredo was pictured wearing a sling for his right shoulder, but it sounds like it was purely for precautionary reasons and he'll be fit enough to play against Spurs. However, with a healthy Sergio Aguero and an in-form Edin Dzeko, it wouldn't be surprising if he either didn't start, or didn't go the full 90.

Negredo suffered a right shoulder injury in Tuesday's Capital One Cup tie against West Ham, and was seen wearing a heavy sling after the match, the Manchester Evening News reports.

Negredo fell late in the second half and received treatment, although he was able to go back onto the pitch. The striker bagged a brace in the match and will be assessed further Wednesday. His availability for Saturday's FA Cup match against Watford is in doubt.

Negredo scored five minutes into extra time in the second half of Manchester City's 2-0 win over Newcastle on Sunday.

Negredo was incredibly active on the day, taking eight shots in total, with four landing on goal. The score was his ninth in Premier League play this season, and he now has five goals in his last three matches in all competitions (one against Blackburn in the FA Cup on January 4, three against West Ham on January 8, and one Sunday against Newcastle). He has done a great job of filling the scoring void left by the injured Sergio Aguero (calf), and things only look up for the Spaniard, who has two home games coming up on the fixture list, including Wednesday against Blackburn in the FA Cup and then a Premier League match against Cardiff on Saturday.

Negredo scored one minute into extra time in the first half of Manchester City's 2-1 win over Liverpool on Thursday.

Negredo's goal was his eight of the season, and he's been particularly solid of late, recording two goals and an assist in his last three Premier League matches. City will continue to depend heavily on Negredo, with Sergio Aguero (calf) out, and Stevan Jovetic struggling to get fit.

Negredo assisted on James Milner's 83rd minute goal of Manchester City's 4-2 win over Fulham on Saturday.

Negredo is expected to shoulder a bigger piece of the scoring pie with Sergio Aguero (calf) out for the next month, although he was unable to find the back of the net Saturday, despite City scoring four times. He'll look to get back to his scoring ways against Liverpool on Boxing Day.
