Shawcross (back) could return for Sunday's match against Liverpool, the Stoke Sentinel reports.

The Stoke defense is much better with Shawcross on the field, and they could surely use him against the high-flying Liverpool attack. If he's unable to play, Marc Muniesa or Geoff Cameron could start alongside Philipp Wollscheid.

After bagging a brace last weekend, Sergio Aguero finds himself at the top of the forward rankings this weekend. However, he's joined at the summit by the co-leader in goals scored this season.

Shawcross (back) is still working with the physio and will remain out for at least another week, according to manager Mark Hughes.

Shawcross, along with Glen Johnson, and possibly Geoff Cameron, may be missing from the Stoke back line this weekend. Marc Muniesa, Phil Bardsley and Philipp Wollscheid could all draw starts against Swansea.

Shawcross (back) is starting Saturday against Southampton.

Shawcross has been out since the end of January due to the ailment, but he returned to full training recently and is now fit enough to start, which will push Geoff Cameron to right back, as Shawcross partners with Philipp Wollsheid in the middle.

Shawcross (back) returned to full training this week and could play Saturday against Southampton, manager Mark Hughes said Friday.

Shawcross has missed considerable time due to his injury, with Geoff Cameron and Marc Muniesa each recently slotting in next to Philipp Wollscheid, though the Stoke defense isn't nearly as strong without Shawcross.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Shawcross (back) could be back to the 18-man squad for the Saturday's match versus Southampton, according to Stoke Sentinel.

The center half returned to full training earlier in the week and will be hoping to regain his starting position. If that happens Marc Muniesa will have to step back to the bench. Shawcross hasn't played since Jan 23. He's struggled to stay on the field throughout the whole season and has only logged 13 Premier League appearances with no goals or assists which deflates his fantasy value significantly.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Shawcross (back) has been ruled out for Saturday's match against Chelsea, but he may be able to return the following weekend against Southampton.

The Potters' back line is riddled with injuries, and they've unsurprisingly struggled defensively with Shawcross on the sideline. Additionally, even if he returns next weekend, it's been quite some time since he's played a full match, making him a questionable fantasy option.

Shawcross (back) has been ruled out for Saturday's match against Aston Villa, though he has a chance to return Wednesday against Newcastle.

With Marc Muniesa and Marc Wilson sidelined, Geoff Cameron, who is just recovering from his own injury, could slot in alongside Philipp Wollscheid, though there is talk that he could take on Glen Johnson's role out wide, as Johnson will be sidelined for up to five weeks due to injury.

Shawcross (back) has been ruled out at Bournemouth for Saturday. He is progressing, but hasn't done enough physio sessions to be ready, according to manager Mark Hughes.

This doesn't help the Stoke City back line that has allowed nine goals in the last three matches without Shawcross and Geoff Cameron. Marc Muniesa started last week and may get the call again.
