Dzeko is expected to miss a couple of weeks after suffering a calf injury during warmups before Saturday's match against Leicester City, manager Manuel Pellegrini said after the match.

Dzeko's injury is a huge blow to Man City, as they are already without Sergio Aguero (knee) and Stevan Jovetic (muscular injury). It's unclear who will lead the line now for the Citizens, who will have to rely heavily on midfield stars Yaya Toure and David Silva, the latter of which just returned from a knee injury.

Dzeko said that he is confident that he can fill the void left by Sergio Aguero's absence in Wednesday's Champions League match against Roma, reports Sky Sports.

Manchester City are heading into an important game to move onward into the Champions League knockout stages, and Aguero's loss is a big blow to the side. Dzeko said he is there when the team needs him, though, and is confident that the team is becoming more well rounded.

Dzeko came on in the 63rd minute of Manchester City's 1-0 win over Everton on Saturday after missing nearly a month with a calf injury suffered Nov. 8 against QPR.

Sergio Aguero got the start but had to come off within five minutes after picking up a knee injury. However, after just returning to fitness, Dzeko was initially passed over for Jose Pozo, who the former placed later in the match. With Aguero likely to miss Tuesday's Champions League match against Roma, Dzeko is expected to start.

Dzeko has been declared fit for Saturday's match against Everton after recovering from a calf injury, the Manchester Evening News reports.

Dzeko's return comes at a great time for Man City, who will be without Stevan Jovetic, who picked up a knock against Sunderland on Wednesday. Dzeko could be thrown right into the starting XI to give Sergio Aguero a rest after playing twice in five days.

Dzeko (calf) will not play in Manchester City's Premier League match at Sunderland on Wednesday, the Independent reports.

Dzeko is not expected to be out for much longer, which could allow him to get back on the pitch for Saturday's home game against Everton. Sergio Aguero is expected to continue starting up front for Man City, though Stevan Jovetic is also an option.

Dzeko (calf) has been ruled out for Sunday's match against Southampton.

There was some speculation that Dzeko would be able to return to face the Saints, but he will now sit out until at least Wednesday against Sunderland. Sergio Aguero will continue to lead the attack, with Stevan Jovetic a possibility to start alongside him.

Dzeko will not play in Tuesday's Champions League match against Bayern Munich because of a calf injury, the Manchester Evening News reports.

Dzeko has been sidelined since suffering the injury Nov. 8 against QPR, only three minutes into his substitute appearance. Despite missing Tuesday's match, there is a small possibility he will be fit to face Southampton on Sunday.

Dzeko will miss Croatia's Euro 2016 qualifying match against Israel after suffering a serious calf strain that could keep him out of action for up to three weeks, according to the Daily Mail.

Dzeko was a second-half substitute for Manchester City against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday, but had to return to the bench after just four minutes. Losing their star striker dims Bosnia's hopes for advancing from their group.
