Dzeko scored two goals during Manchester City's 3-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford on Tuesday.

Dzeko's first score came less than 45 seconds into the match, with his other coming after halftime. After missing last weekend's match due to illness, Dzeko was able to become the 13th player to reach double-digit goals in the Premier League this season. He appears to be Manuel Pellegrini's top choice at striker, ahead of Alvaro Negredo, although the lineup could change with Sergio Aguero (hamstring) due back soon.

Dzeko was held out of Saturday's Premier League match against Fulham due to illness, ESPN FC reports.

It's unclear how serious the illness is, but it wouldn't be surprising if he was held out of the starting XI for Tuesday's Manchester derby.

Dzeko scored in the 90th minute of Manchester City's 2-0 win over Hull City on Saturday.

Dzeko got the start as City's lone striker Saturday, with Alvaro Negredo staying on the bench, and Sergio Aguero (hamstring) and Stevan Jovetic (hamstring) both out injured. The goal was his eighth in Premier League play and first since he scored against Tottenham on January 29. If there is one thing Dzeko doesn't do, it's record assists, as he has just one this season, which he got back in gameweek 1. Nevertheless, the goal Saturday could be the start of something, and he has two matches in gameweek 31: home against Fulham and away at Manchester United.

Manchester City have told Dzeko that he is free to leave this summer, Goal.com reports.

With Alvaro Negredo and Sergio Aguero getting most of the starts, and Stevan Jovetic available off the bench, Dzeko may find more first team opportunities elsewhere. He has drawn some interest from a number of Serie A clubs, with Inter Milan the current leader.

Inter Milan are reportedly preparing a summer transfer move to bring Dzeko to Italy, according to the MIrror.

Dzeko's current contract expires in 2015, and Inter believe they may be able to convince Manchester City to sell this summer. Dzeko does not hold a permanent starting spot in the current squad, and could be deemed surplus for the right price.

Dzeko, who came into the weekend with a small ankle injury, did not start Saturday's scoreless draw at Norwich City, but did come on in the 61st minute for Stevan Jovetic. Dzeko took four shots, but none landed on goal.

In what appeared to be an incredibly enticing fantasy matchup for Dzeko turned into a nightmare when manager Manuel Pellegrini decided to start Jovetic instead. While Dzeko did manage to make an appearance, he wasn't able to do nearly enough to break through and grab additional points for City. He'll look to bounce back Wednesday against Sunderland at the Etihad.

Dzeko scored in the 53rd minute of Manchester City's 5-1 win over Tottenham on Wednesday.

Dzeko took a remarkable 10 shots in the match, which is the most he's recorded in a Premier League tie this season. He has been in excellent form as of late, finding the back of the net seven times in his last six appearances in all competitions. With Sergio Aguero suffering a hamstring injury in Wednesday's match, Dzeko could stick in the starting XI for the next few games, playing up front with Alvaro Negredo or Stevan Jovetic.

Dzeko scored in the 14th minute of Manchester City's 4-2 win over Cardiff City on Saturday. The goal was the 100th scored by Manchester City in all competitions this season.

With Sergio Aguero not quite fit enough to start, Dzeko remained in the starting XI and continued to show that he can have a big impact on matches. He has now scored in four straight matches in all competitions, finding the back of the net six times in that span. Aguero said it may take a few weeks before he's back to full fitness, which means Dzeko could continue to see playing time in league matches thanks to his hot streak.
