Dzeko is available off the bench for Manchester City's Premier League match against Stoke City on Saturday.

Dzeko picked up a small knock on his thigh last Monday against Liverpool, and with a fully fit Sergio Aguero, manager Manuel Pellegrini can afford to rest Dzeko. With Aguero just returning to the starting lineup, it wouldn't be surprised if Dzeko did feature at some point Saturday.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini confirmed Friday that Alvaro Negredo is the only injury City are facing, which means Dzeko should be available to face Stoke City.

Dzeko took a boot to the thigh Monday against Liverpool and had to be removed from the game, but it is apparently not serious enough to hold him out. Pellegrini did add that Sergio Aguero may still be limited, which means he and Dzeko could split time next to Stevan Jovetic.

Dzeko started Manchester City's Premier League match against Liverpool on Monday, but had to be subbed off after 67 minutes due to a leg injury.

Dzeko took a boot to the side of his leg from Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel, and he had a visible mark on his leg. He will likely undergo further exams Tuesday, and it is unclear if he will have to miss any time. If he does, Sergio Aguero, who subbed on for him Monday, would be inserted into the starting XI alongside Stevan Jovetic.

Dzeko has signed a new four-year contract with Manchester City.

Dzeko scored 26 goals across four competitions for the Citizens last season. Needless to say, the club was eager to reach an agreement that would keep the Bosnian at the Etihad for the foreseeable future. Dzeko had the assist in City's opening goal against Newcastle during opening weekend, and will try to be a handful against Liverpool on Monday.

Dzeko assisted on David Silva's 38th minute goal during Manchester City's 2-0 win over Newcastle on Sunday.

Dzeko took an excellent long ball from Yaya Toure and backheeled it to Silva, who buried a left-footed shot beyond Newcastle keeper Tim Krul. Dzeko started up front with Stevan Jovetic, but he was ultimately replaced by Sergio Aguero, who may be his strike partner in the coming weeks after he scored as a sub Sunday.

Dzeko scored in the 43rd and 48th minutes of Manchester City's 3-2 win over Everton on Saturday at Goodison Park.

Dzeko has now scored 14 goals in 29 Premier League appearances, and he'll likely continue to be a focal point of the attack after Sergio Aguero was forced from Saturday's match with a groin injury.
