Gibson continues to work on his fitness following a long period out with a knee injury. "Darron is working really well and is building some better fitness levels," manager Roberto Martinez said Tuesday. "We need to make sure after a long spell on the sidelines that all the work we are doing is allowing him to be fully fit."

Gibson had surgery on his torn ACL back in October 2013 and he still hasn't been able to play in a competitive match. Even when he does return to full fitness, his fantasy upside is limited.

Gibson (knee) continues to train with the first team, but he is unlikely to play in Sunday's season-finale against Hull City, the club's official web site reports.

Gibson's lone appearance this season came back on October 5 against Manchester City and he'll now look to come back at 100 percent next season.

Gibson (knee) has rejoined first-team training, although it is unclear if he will play in any of the remaining fixtures this season, the Liverpool Echo reports.

Gibson has made two appearances for Everton this season, one in the Capital One Cup and one Premier League game. He's been out for so long that it would be a bit surprising to see him thrust back in at this point of the season, although with Kevin Mirallas ruled out for the remaining fixtures, it's possible that Everton risk Gibson.

Gibson is close to a return to full training after undergoing surgery to repair a damaged cruciate ligament back in October, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Gibson had played just 27 minutes for Everton this season before getting injured in a World Cup qualifier. His return date is still unknown and it is likely he would have minimal fantasy value upon his return.

Gibson (knee) will have surgery to repair the ACL he damaged Tuesday during the Republic of Ireland's World Cup Qualifying match against Kazakhstan. A return date will be determined once the surgery is completed, but there is a chance Gibson could miss the remainder of the 2013-14 season.

Gibson had only played in one Premier League match this season after injurying his knee in the preseason.

Gibson, who has been recovering from knee issues to start the season, is ready to play in Ireland's World Cup qualifiers this weekend. Everton manager, Roberto Martinez, is excited to see Gibson get some time on the pitch to increase his match fitness for when Everton host Hull City October 19.

Gibson does not provide much in the way of offensive statistics, but the match against Hull City provides a good opportunity for the defender to collect a clean sheet.
