Neuer made three saves but was beaten twice in Thursday's 2-0 loss to France.

It was likely a tough pill to swallow for Neuer, who had allowed just one goal through five matches, as Antoine Griezmann converted from the penalty spot on the stroke of half-time and just managed to squeak a rebound opportunity through the former's legs after a poor defensive stand in the 72nd minute. Neuer still played quite well and was clearly the class of the position this tournament, but he and the reigning World champions saw their run come to an end one match sooner than they expected.

Euro 2016: Saturday-Sunday Cheat Sheet

Iceland's surprising run to the quarterfinal has them matched up with the home nation on Sunday, but Saturday features a heavyweight battle between Italy and Germany.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Neuer made two saves and conceded one goal in Saturday's shootout victory over Italy.

Neuer was extremely assertive in his own box and made a couple of crucial saves, with the only goal against him coming in the form of a second-half penalty that Leonardo Bonucci buried. He also saw the Italians miss the goal on a couple of occasions while making two saves in the shootout, helping book a place in Thursday's semi-final match versus the winner of Iceland-France. Neuer has only allowed one goal through five tournament matches, and will be a strong play regardless of who Germany face in the next round.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Neuer had two saves and earned a clean sheet during Sunday's 3-0 win over Slovakia.

Germany is one of the favorites to win the tournament because of an all-around solid team and that includes the defence and Neuer. Even with Italy or Spain in the waiting, the Germans will be favored and another clean sheet isn't out of the cards.

Neuer stopped the only shot he faced during Tuesday's 1-0 win over Northern Ireland.

Neuer had little to do as Germany enjoyed 71% of possession in the match and limited their opponents to just two total shots. The reigning World champions have struggled to generate offense through three matches, but their back line has been fantastic and has still yet to allow a goal. Neuer and company will look to secure their fourth clean sheet on the bounce as they take on the third-place finisher from Group A, B or F on Sunday.

Neuer did not make a save and kept a clean sheet in Thursday's scoreless draw with Poland at the Euros.

Neuer can run into trouble when he gets bored as he has a tendency to float well outside the box to act as a sweeper keeper. While Poland had a couple of gilt-edged chances, none of them made it on net, though he was lucky to see an egg up on the scoreboard for Poland. With Northern Ireland up next, Neuer may not see much action once again, but will still be a strong candidate for his third clean sheet in as many tries during the tournament.

Neuer stopped all three shots he faced in a 2-0 win Sunday versus the Ukraine.

Neuer's ability is sometimes forgotten due to the strength of the club and international teams with which he plays, but he was excellent Sunday, making some critical stops against a competitive Ukranian side. He also had some help from Jerome Boateng on a crucial goal-line clearance, but the clean sheet was preserved nonetheless. Neuer is a premier fantasy option and will continue as such heading into Thursdays matchup with Poland.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Neuer enjoyed a fantastic season, leading the Bundesliga with a minuscule goals against average of 0.5 en route to the league title.

Neuer's success also translated into the Champions League and cup campaigns as well, and he finished with a whopping total of 28 clean sheets in all competitions. Neuer is firmly in the conversation for the top goalkeeper going at the moment, and the dominant team in front of him makes him a top fantasy option as well. He will compete with Germany at this summer's Euro 2016 tournament.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Neuer earned his 20th clean sheet of the season in Saturday’s 2-0 win against Hertha Berlin.

Neuer was essentially a spectator Saturday, as Hertha Berlin did not manage to put a shot on target for the entire 90 minutes. Nevertheless, his 20 clean sheets on the season is an impressive figure and a huge momentum boost for Neuer, who will be in between the posts once again as Bayern Munich plays Atletico Madrid away this Wednesday in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinals.
