Henderson, who's missed time with a left heel injury, will now remain sidelined for the next two months after fracturing a bone in his right foot, James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo reports.

Henderson had already missed the past four Premier League matches with an ongoing heel injury, and was actually nearing a return, but a completely separate injury now forces the midfielder back into recovery mode. The initial timetable for a return is set at two months, but foot injuries often pose complications where Henderson could be in line for an even longer stint on the bench.

Henderson (foot) was yet to return to training and appears unlikely to play Saturday against Manchester United, the Liverpool Echo reports.

Henderson has already missed two games due to the ailment, and given that he's not even lightly training, a third absence appears likely and more could be on the horizon. Lucas Leiva and Roberto Firmino are likely to continue to pair up in the back of the Reds' midfield.

Manager Brendan Rodgers said Friday that there are "no great changes from the squad that was in place for the last game," implying that Henderson (foot) will not be available to face West Ham on Saturday.

Henderson was unable to play in last weekend's scoreless draw with Arsenal, allowing Lucas Leiva to get the start in his stead. After the strong defensive performance, it seems likely that Lucas will keep the starting spot, with Roberto Firmino playing a more attacking role.

Henderson (foot) is questionable for Monday's match against Arsenal, the Daily Mirror reports.

Henderson played only 51 minutes in last Monday's match against Bournemouth due to the ailment, and he underwent scans Tuesday to help determine the severity of the injury. If he is unable to face the Gunners, Roberto Firmino or Emre Can could replace him in the starting lineup.
