Clark (knee) has been ruled out for Saturday's match against West Ham.

Clark wasn't a big fantasy contributor before going down with the injury, though Villa are a big light since Nathan Baker is sidelined as well. Ron Vlaar and Jores Okore will likely continue to start.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Clark suffered a knock early in the first half of Saturday's match against Spurs and had to come off for Nathan Baker.

It appeared that Clark was having the physios look at his knee, though it was unclear when exactly he suffered the injury. He'll likely undergo additional scans in the coming days to help determine the severity and the length of his absence.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

While Aston Villa ultimately lost 2-1 on Saturday, Clark was a defensive star against Chelsea, finishing with a game-high 15 clearances, two tackles, two blocked shots and two clearances in 90 minutes.

A fine performance for Clark, though the Chelsea attack was simply too strong by the end of the day. After posting back-to-back clean sheets, Clark has now been part of three consecutive Premier League losses, though he's got a decent shot at bouncing back Tuesday at Hull City.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Clark recorded his first goal of the season against Leicester City on Sunday.

Clark has only played in eight games this season but has now registered one assist and one goal over that stretch of time. It's unlikely that he'll get many more goal-scoring opportunities this season as a defender, however.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Clark recorded his first assist in 2014-15 Premier League play against Southampton on Monday.

Clark hasn't made many appearances for Aston Villa this season, although he may be awarded more time on the pitch after Monday's productive outing. He'll look for his second clean sheet of the season against Burnley on Saturday, along with more opportunities to assist.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Clark has only made three Premier League appearances this season.

Clark seems to be out of favor with manager Paul Lambert and isn't expected to have much of an impact this season as a defender off the bench. Barring the unforeseeable, the 25-year-old is better left on the waiver wire.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Clark hasn't played in any of Aston Villa's Premier League matches this season.

Clark seems to be one of Villa's last options on the squad and will likely struggle to prove otherwise this season. The 24-year-old will have to wait patiently for his number to get called, although that might not be anytime in the near future.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Clark will not play in Wednesday's match at Sunderland after picking up his fifth yellow card last weekend, the Express and Star reports.

Clark relies heavily on clean sheets to provide fantasy value, something he hasn't done since November 30 in a scoreless draw with Sunderland. A repeat performance won't be coming, as his five yellow cards will force him to watch Wednesday's match from elsewhere.
