Shaqiri made his Stoke City debut Saturday and assisted the Potters' lone goal against Norwich City.

Shaqiri, who recently joined Stoke from Inter Milan, curled in a free-kick to set up teammate Mame Diouf for a goal just 11 minutes into his first game for the Potters. A gifted attacker, Shaqiri lasted the entire match Saturday and could be at the center of Stoke's attack going forward this season, making him one to watch in fantasy circles.

Shaqiri served his one-match ban and is expected to make his Premier League debut Saturday against Norwich City.

Shaqiri was apparently penciled in to play last weekend against Tottenham until the FA handed down the one-match ban, which he originally picked up during the Coppa Italia last season with Inter Milan. However, he's had a full week of training and could very well slot right into the starting lineup against Norwich.

Shaqiri signed with Stoke City on Tuesday after transferring from Inter Milan for 12 million.

Shaqiri joined Inter Milan in January after transferring from Bayern Munich, but he never made much of an impact and didn't figure to get much playing time this season. He is an elite player, having already made 92 appearances for FC Basel and 52 for Bayern Munich before his stint with Inter, and he's only 23 years old. He'll slot right onto a wing for Stoke and will likely be a lock in the starting lineup when he's acclimated to the team.

The recently acquired winger had a goal and an assist as Inter managed to find the net four times in a win over host Atalanta.

Roberto Mancini has been able to change his setup thanks to Shaqiri and now it appears to be starting to click.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Shaquiri officially signed a four-and-a-half year contract with Inter Milan on Friday after transferring from Bayern Munich.

This is a huge signing for Serie A because Shaqiri chose to play for Inter over Liverpool. Italian clubs will need more signings like this if they wish to return to their glory days. Inter have been quite busy improving their attack this month, as they added Arsenal's Lukas Podolski on loan earlier this week.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Shaqiri picked up his first assist of the season during Bayern Munich's 4-0 win over Hannover 96 on Saturday.

Shaqiri started Saturday for just the third time this season, as Bayern manager Pep Guardiola decided to rest Thomas Muller and Mario Gotze. Shaqiri's fantasy upside is fairly limited given that he's not a regular starter.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Shaqiri scored twice in the first half and then again in the second to lead Switzerland to a 3-0 win over Honduras in their final group stage match at the World Cup on Wednesday.

The good news is that the win propelled Switzerland into the round of 16, finishing second place in Group E behind France. The bad news is that Switzerland now face Argentina, who topped Group F. Shaqiri started off group play a bit slow, but he is red hot heading into the next round.
