Shaqiri (hamstring) has been ruled out for Saturday's match against Manchester City.

After being withdrawn at halftime against Spurs with a hamstring concern, Shaqiri has been ruled out for Saturday's match as well. The big-ticket signing from Inter Milan this summer hasn't quite had the influence on the side week-in and week-out the team might've hoped. He'll look to recover in time to finish the season off strong to build off his three goals and six assists in 30 matches across all comps.

Manchester City need just a point to solidify their Champions League spot for next season, which keeps Kevin De Bruyne near the top of the midfielder rankings for the final week of the season.

Shaqiri was taken off from Monday's match against Tottenham at halftime because of a hamstring injury, the Stoke Sentinel reports.

The severity of Shaqiri's injury is still unclear, though the quick turnaround to Saturday's match against Manchester City does him no favors.

Shaqiri tallied an assist in Sunday's 4-1 defeat to Liverpool.

Shaqiri exploited Liverpool's weakness in defending set pieces, finding Bojan Krkic for the Potters only goal. Shaqiri missed the past two matches with an injury, but when he's in the lineup, he's a good source of assists (Sunday's was his seventh in the Premier League), but doesn't provide much of a goal-scoring threat.

Shaqiri could return from his thigh injury Sunday against Liverpool, the Stoke Sentinel reports.

Shaqiri has been a huge piece of the Stoke attack this season, though as more of a facilitator than a goal scorer. His fantasy upside is higher in formats that give points for peripheral stats, particularly since he's on most corners and set pieces.

Shaqiri (thigh) will miss the Swansea match Saturday, according to manager Mark Hughes.

Shaqiri has been one of Stoke's best fantasy players this season, but that's not saying much. Even in a favorable matchup, Marko Arnautovic may be the only Stoke midfielder worth a look. Due to injuries, Charlie Adam or Giannelli Imbula could get a start.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Shaqiri intimated that he could return from his thigh injury to play for Switzerland during the international break, the Stoke Sentinel reports.

It sounds like a bit of a long shot, but if Shaqiri is able to return to play internationally, he surely should be fit enough to play in Stoke's next match, which will come April 2 against Swansea.

Shaqiri is expected to miss multiple games because of the thigh injury he suffered Saturday against Southampton, the Stoke Sentinel reports.

Shaqiri has become a very solid piece of the Stoke attack after a somewhat slow start, and he's been a decent fantasy option in formats that reward peripheral stats. He is apparently targeting a return April 2 against Swansea, which will come after the international break.

Shaqiri left Saturday's match against Southampton because of a quad injury, the Stoke Sentinel reports.

Shaqiri sent in one cross before coming off, and the severity of the ailment will be determined with scans. If he has to miss any time, Bojan may be able to move back into the starting XI.
