Shaquiri officially signed a four-and-a-half year contract with Inter Milan on Friday after transferring from Bayern Munich.

This is a huge signing for Serie A because Shaqiri chose to play for Inter over Liverpool. Italian clubs will need more signings like this if they wish to return to their glory days. Inter have been quite busy improving their attack this month, as they added Arsenal's Lukas Podolski on loan earlier this week.

Shaqiri picked up his first assist of the season during Bayern Munich's 4-0 win over Hannover 96 on Saturday.

Shaqiri started Saturday for just the third time this season, as Bayern manager Pep Guardiola decided to rest Thomas Muller and Mario Gotze. Shaqiri's fantasy upside is fairly limited given that he's not a regular starter.

Shaqiri scored twice in the first half and then again in the second to lead Switzerland to a 3-0 win over Honduras in their final group stage match at the World Cup on Wednesday.

The good news is that the win propelled Switzerland into the round of 16, finishing second place in Group E behind France. The bad news is that Switzerland now face Argentina, who topped Group F. Shaqiri started off group play a bit slow, but he is red hot heading into the next round.

Shaqiri suffered a thigh injury during Saturday's 4-0 win over SC Freiburg, and he will not play in Wednesday's Champions League match against Arsenal, ESPN FC reports.

Shaqiri, who scored twice in Saturday's match before being replaced by Bastian Schweinsteiger, will also miss Bayern's Bundesliga match at Hannover the following Sunday.

Shaqiri scored three minutes into extra time during Saturday's 3-1 win over Hamburg SV.

Shaqiri's goal was his second in Bundesliga play this season, although he's only appeared in seven matches due to a thigh injury that kept him out for most of October and all of November. He's healthy now, although he hasn't solidified a spot in the starting XI by any means.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Shaqiri is expected to miss the next six-to-seven weeks after tearing his right thigh during last Friday's World Cup qualifier against Albania, according to Bundesliga.com.

Shaqiri actually opened the scoring in that match, knocking one in at the 47 minute mark. Unfortunately, due to the injury, he may not suit up for Bayern again until January.

Shaqiri scored in the 33rd minute of Tuesday's 1-1 draw with SC Freiburg.

Shaqiri's goal was his first of the season and much needed for Bayern, who started the match with Arjen Robben, Franck Ribery and Mario Mandzukic on the bench. Shaqiri's fantasy upside is somewhat limited given the talent around him on the pitch.
