Ozil won two tackles, made two interceptions, put in five crosses and scored on his only shot during Saturday's 3-0 triumph over Chelsea.

Ozil was at the heart of many intricate Arsenal attacks in his Man of the Match performance, and he put his side up three in the 40th minute from an Alexis Sanchez pass. Ozil has yet to provide an assist in six appearances this season, but he has been essential to what has been a fine run of form for his side and already has two goals to his name after totaling eight all of last season. He will look to build on this performance Wednesday versus FC Basel in the Champions League.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Arsenal is working to gain agreement on a new contract for Ozil to secure his future with the club, according to the Daily Mail.

The midfielder has less than two years remaining on his current contract, and is expected to be offered a pay raise along with the new agreement.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Ozil scored a goal on one shot (one on target) in 70 minutes of work during Saturday's 3-1 victory over Watford.

A bit sluggish for the opening half-hour, Ozil found his form for the final 15 minutes of the half, linking up well with Alexis Sanchez time-and-again to generate a number of chances. As time expired in the first half, it was Sanchez who found Ozil unmarked in the box for a rare header to expand the Gunners' advantage to three. Still working into fitness, he made it 70 minutes before giving way to Jack Wilshere, but his return to the pitch for a real stretch of time helped shore up the Arsenal attack significantly.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Ozil is on the bench for Saturday's match against Leicester City.

Ozil's preseason was delayed due to Germany's long run in the European Championship, so he'll only make the bench after being held out for the opener. Santi Cazorla is in the No. 10 role for the Gunners on Saturday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Ozil could return to the lineup for Saturday's match with Leicester City.

Ozil returned to training last week and may play because of the mounting injuries to Arsenal's team. After providing six goals and 19 assists last season, his return to the lineup would help after a disappointing defeat to Liverpool. If he is on the field, he has value as one of the Premier League's most creative midfielders.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Ozil returned to training on Wednesday after an extended holiday following the European Championship.

Ozil has been ruled out for the Gunners' Premier League opener, which comes this Sunday against Liverpool, and it remains unclear if he'll be able to regain his match fitness before they take on Leicester City on 20 Aug.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Ozil has yet to return to training following the European Championship, and he will not play in Arsenal's Premier League opener against Liverpool on Sunday, ESPN FC reports.

Ozil will once again be a vital piece of the Gunners' attack this season, and his delayed start will be joined by those of Laurent Koscielny and Olivier Giroud, leaving Arsenal quite light to begin the new campaign.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Ozil scored eight goals and dished out a career-high 19 assists in all competitions last season. He added a goal and an assist as Germany advanced to the semi-finals of Euro 2016.

The playmaker struggled to find his best form during his first two seasons in England, but he recorded what was arguably the best all-around statistical season of his career and finished six helpers ahead of his nearest rival in league play. Ozil didn't have as great an impact at the international level this summer, but he faced significant attention from opposing sides and struggled a bit as Germany went without a true striker for much of the tournament. Ozil is expected to miss the beginning of the season after his busy summer, but he should return in short order and could see his fantasy value boosted further if the Gunners add attacking talent to the squad this summer.
