Papastathopoulos will be out for two weeks after breaking his fibula Sunday against Borussia Moenchengladbach reports.

Papastathopoulos clashed with Moenchengladbach's Andre Hahn Sunday and will consequently be out for a fortnight. Fortunately for Dortmund the injury coincides with the international break so although he'll be ruled out for Greece, he should be able to recover in time for the Champions League game with Arsenal on Nov. 26. Papastathopoulos will not be fit for the next Bundesliga game against Paderborn on Nov. 22 either however he misses the game through suspension regardless as he picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in the challenge that got him injured.

Papastathopoulos recorded his first league clean sheet of the season in Dortmund's 1-0 win Sunday against Borussia Moenchengladbach.

It wasn't Papastathopoulos' finest game in a Dortmund shirt despite getting a clean sheet in the Bundesliga for the first time this season. He was erratic in an otherwise solid Dortmund defense but with his side totally dominant throughout, the Greek international chose a good time to have an off day. He finished the game when he was substituted on 83 minutes after a reckless challenge got him booked and injured.

Papastathopoulos scored his team's second goal in Dortmund's 4-1 win over Galatasaray in the Champions League Tuesday.

The Greek international helped Dortmund progress to the next round with a well taken goal. Papastathopoulos turned in Sebastian Kehl's knock down after having nearly scored in the first half when he hit the bar from Marco Reus' corner. The defender was composed and defensively solid throughout as Dortmund coped well without injured captain Mats Hummels.

Papastathopoulos put in a solid defensive display in Dortmund's 2-1 loss Saturday to Bayern Munich.

The Greek international looked solid and composed for much of the game against the champions but lost his clean sheet after Dortmund conceded two late goals. Papastathopoulos made several telling interceptions and a team high of 15 tackles but Neven Subotic's poor clearance and concession of a penalty gifted Bayern two goals and erased that good work. With Subotic's poor display and Mats Hummels potentially out injured, Papastathopoulos could well be assured a start next time out.

Papastathopoulos got a clean sheet as Dortmund won 3-0 Tuesday against St. Pauli in the DFB Pokal.

Papastathopoulos was part of a very solid defensive performance that shut-out a lacklustre St. Pauli attack. Papastathopoulos filled in at right-back to replace usual starter Lukasz Piszczek, who was presumably being rested for Saturday's Bayern Munich clash. The Greek international defended well throughout and also had some joy attacking down the flank. Despite a successful appearance he is likely to drop back to the bench at the weekend.

Papastathopoulos made a brief substitute appearance on 77 minutes as Dortmund lost 1-0 to Hannover Saturday.

After being part of a solid defense midweek against Galatasaray and with Erik Durm carrying a knock, Papastathopoulos could have expected a start. It was not be however as Durm started ahead of the Greek at left-back and Papastathopoulos was limited to a brief substitute run-out. For what it's worth he kept a clean sheet in that time but with Durm looking solid enough, Jurgen Klopp will probably pick the same defense in the next league encounter.

Papastathopoulos kept a clean sheet as Dortmund comfortably beat Galatasaray 4-0 Wednesday in the Champions League.

Papastathopoulos played in the rather unfamiliar position of left-back following last weekend's injury to Erik Durm. He was successful in the role, looking solid and making the best attempt to go forward when he could. However he did look a bit sluggish as he has for several games now, Papastathopoulos visibly suffering in his team's recent slump. That said, the experiment of Mats Hummels and Neven Subotic in the middle of defense and Papastathopoulos and Lukasz Piszczek as full-backs looked pretty solid overall and Jurgen Klopp may well choose to go with the same back four Saturday when Dortmund entertain Hannover.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Papastathopoulos was unconvincing in a poor Dortmund defense as Dortmund slumped to a 2-1 defeat Saturday against FC Köln.

Papastathopoulos hasn't been in great form of late and another lacklustre display helped contribute to Dortmund's fifth defeat in eight games. The Greek international was often slow and struggled with Köln's pacey counter-attacks. He was also booked and carelessly lost marker Kevin Vogt for Köln's first goal. Papastathopoulos must improve on this static performance and certainly is not guaranteed a start next time out.
