Reid registered one shot off target, team-leading seven clearances and four interceptions en route to a defensive clean sheet in the 2-0 win over Aston Villa on Tuesday.

Excellent fantasy outing for the whole Hammers' rearguard. Besides the very fruitful win and clean sheet, with the Hammers' endless forays throughout the whole game, every defender managed to register shots on goal and other offensive statistics. Reid is having a nice season but numerous ailments continue to derail his consistent run of playing time (only 14 Premier League starts). He also doesn't have a knack for scoring at all which limits his fantasy upside.

Reid (hamstring) returned to full-team training this week and could play in Saturday's FA Cup match against Wolverhampton, manager Slaven Bilic said Thursday.

Reid has been excellent when fit this season, but he's battled numerous ailments that have kept him off the pitch. Even if he does not play Saturday, he could very well return for Tuesday's Premier League match against Bournemouth.

Reid (hamstring) could be ready for the first West Ham game of the New Year versus Liverpool on Saturday, Liverpool Echo reports.

The Aussie has been a key cog in the Hammers defense but just hasn't been able to stay healthy this season. He'll slot right back in the starting XI at his return, whenever that actually happens, pushing the 32-year-old James Collins to the bench.

Reid suffered a hamstring injury in training Wednesday and will undergo a scan Friday to help determine the severity of the ailment.

Reid missed almost three months at the start of the season because of a hip injury and will now miss more time with the latest ailment. The Hammers have been hit particularly hard with injuries of late, as Victor Moses (knee), Manuel Lanzini (thigh), Dimitri Payet (ankle) and Diafra Sakho (thigh) are also missing.

Reid had an unfortunate day on Sunday, as he let in an own goal in a 1-1 draw to West Brom.

Reid hasn't contributed a goal or an assist all season and this own goal adds to his poor season. What's even worse is that this Hammers team simply can't get a clean sheet right now. It was an unfortunate own goal, but if you were using Reid in fantasy, you had it coming.

Reid (hip) is ready to return from his injury spell, according to Daily Mail.

Both the New Zealander and Angelo Ogbonna are fit to make the team but probably only Reid will start, for now at least, and will replace the suspended James Collins at centre back. The Hammers are hosting Everton who are coming off a six goal feat against Sunderland. West Ham don't possess the most solid defense and you should be cautious with Reid's immediate usage.

Reid (hip) is very close to his return, says manager Slaven Bilic.

The Aussie was expected to miss the visit to Vicarage Road but Hammers' boss Slaven Bilic insists he's edging the coveted return. Another factor that may speed up his re-introduction is the upcoming suspension of James Collins. If Reid cant make it for another week, after all, Angelo Ogbonna is the next man up at center-back.
