Reid has recovered from his hamstring and is starting Saturday against Leicester City.

It's a solid clean sheet opportunity for Reid, who will need it to make much of a fantasy impact as he doesn't produce many stats, even peripheral ones.

Reid has recovered from the hamstring injury he suffered on March 4 against Chelsea and is working on his fitness ahead of Saturday's match versus Leicester City, according to the Official Team Website.

It sounds as if Reid has an outside shot to play this weekend, but a late fitness test is likely in the cards for the Kiwi. He makes for a lackluster fantasy play regardless, even against an impotent attack such as Leicester's.

Reid (calf) will have a late fitness test to determine his availability for Saturday's game against Sunderland, manager Sam Allardyce said Thursday.

Reid has been absent since the Hammers' loss to Chelsea back on March 4, and he hasn't registered a Premier League clean sheet since Dec. 20. He rarely gets involved in the attack, so the shutouts are his biggest source of fantasy points, and while this weekend's match against Sunderland is encouraging, it won't be easy given a number of other injuries West Ham are dealing with.

Reid will resume training some time next week, according to the Official Team Website.

Reid suffered a strained hamstring in West Ham's match against Chelsea on Mar. 4 and has been rehabbing the injury ever since. He will miss West Ham's weekend match versus Arsenal.

West Ham and Reid have agreed to a new long-term contract that runs through 2021, reports Sky Sports.

Reid's previous contract was due to expire this summer, and both Tottenham and Arsenal had shown interest in a transfer. The defender has signed a new six-and-a-half year contract with the club, though.

Reid appears likely to sign a contract extension with West Ham despite interest from Tottenham and Arsenal, reports the Daily Mail.

Reid's current contract expires at the end of the season, and has held talks with West Ham. The team's turn in form along with terms of the contract appear to be swaying him to stick with the club.

Manager Sam Allardyce said Friday that Reid has recovered from his hamstring injury, and he will be available for Sunday's game against Spurs.

Reid was a consistent player in the center of the Hammers' defense when fit, but he's got a tough matchup Sunday against a Spurs side that is being led by striker Harry Kane.

Reid suffered a hamstring injury in West Ham's 2-0 loss to Liverpool on Saturday.

Reid had to exit the match in the 84th minute, forcing West Ham to play with just ten men as manager Sam Allardyce was out of substitutions. West Ham have a serious injury crisis on their back line and will hope Reid is not out long-term.
