Diouf scored just before halftime during Stoke City's 2-1 win at Aston Villa on Saturday.

Diouf put home a header to draw the Potters level going into halftime Saturday. That goal brought Diouf to six scores in the league, which matches the return of teammate and fellow striker Peter Crouch for second-place on the Stoke scoring ranks.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Diouf, who returned from the Africa Cup of Nations this week, is available off the bench for Saturday's match against QPR.

Diouf leads Stoke in goals this term and he may be needed right away with Bojan out for the season with a knee injury.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Diouf has returned from the Africa Cup of Nations after Senegal were eliminated, and he could feature Saturday against QPR, the BBC reports.

Diouf, who leads Stoke in goals (five) this season, will be a huge boost to the side after they lost Bojan to a season-ending torn ACL. If he can move right back into the starting lineup, Diouf could make for an interesting play against a QPR side that has allowed the most goals on the road this season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Diouf will miss at least three Premier League matches while playing for Senegal in the Africa Cup of Nations, Sky Sports reports.

Stoke have spread out their scoring this season, so while Diouf has scored five times this season, only two have come after Nov. 1, both of which came against West Brom on Dec. 28.

Diouf is expected to be fit for Sunday's game against Swansea City after recovering from a hamstring injury, the Stoke Sentinel reports.

Diouf suffered the injury back on Sept. 29 against Newcastle and missed Stoke's last Premier League match before the international break. However, the rest has done him well and he could return to the starting XI this weekend.

Diouf has been ruled out for Saturday's Premier League match against Sunderland due to a hamstring injury he picked up last Monday against Newcastle.

Diouf's injury is not considered serious and he could return after the international break when Stoke host Swansea City on Oct. 19. Marko Arnautovic could move into the starting XI in Diouf's absence.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Diouf had to be subbed off in the 23rd minute of Stoke City's Premier League match against Newcastle on Monday after appearing to suffer a hamstring injury.

It's unclear exactly what the issue was, but it was serious enough to force him from the game not even 25 minutes after the opening whistle. He'll undergo scans in the coming days to determine the full extent of the injury.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Diouf started and played 71 minutes in Stoke's 1-0 season opening loss to Aston Villa on Saturday.

Diouf was selected ahead of experienced Premiership striker Peter Crouch, but failed to make much of an impact, as he didn't attempt a shot all game. The Senegalese striker was bought this summer from Hannover 96 of the Bundesliga, where he scored 20 goals to go with 10 assists over the past two seasons. Looking ahead, it should be worthwhile to monitor which striker - Diouf or Crouch - manager Mark Hughes chooses to start up front for the Potters.
