Walters hammered a brace off three total shots (two on target) in a memorable 2-0 Ireland victory over Bosnia in a EURO 2016 play-off Monday.

The striker becomes an Irish legend with an epic performance. Two beautiful strikes, one from the penalty spot, launched the Green Army to the EURO finals in France next summer. He's now with eight goals in 15 games across all competitions for both Stoke and Ireland this season. Add a new contract with Stoke in his back pocket and he should be back in Premier League action with a double-boosted confidence. The Saints should be careful Saturday.

Walters signed a new contract with Stoke that will keep him with the club until the summer of 2018, reports the Daily Mail.

The forward's previous contract was due to expire at the end of the season. He has made more than 200 appearances for the team since joining in 2010.

Walters led Stoke with five shots in a 0-0 draw to Newcastle on Saturday.

Walters got the start at forward here and looked like the only Stoke player who had a chance to score in this match. He's been Stoke's most reliable players over the last three years or so and they desperately need him to get going to help out the offense. Forwards Mame Diouf and Peter Crouch have underwhelmed this season and it's unclear who the go-to striker is at this point in the season.

Walters (groin) is available off the bench Saturday against Watford.

Walters was held out of last weekend's match due to the ailment, and while he has recovered enough to make the bench, he'll sit while Joselu, Bojan, Marko Arnautovic and Xherdan Shaqiri lead the attack.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Walters scored the opening goal in a 2-1 win over Bournemouth on Saturday.

Walters is Mr. reliable for Stoke, as he's been there since 2010. This is now his second goal of the season in just four games and he's making the most of his opportunities considering he has just five shots all year. Walters has very little upside for fantasy, but he's a great veteran on a team who needs veteran presence to stay in the Premier League this season.

Walters scored a goal in Saturday's 2-2 draw to Leicester City.

Walters was sensational on Saturday in his return to the starting XI, doubling Stoke's lead in the 20th minute with a nice strike from just off the penalty spot. He finished last season with eight goals in 32 Premier League appearances and when healthy, is capable of being a double-digit goal scorer.

Walters (knee) will start Saturday against Leicester City.

Walters has been restricted to just two Premier League appearances coming into Saturday after dealing with an illness and most recently a knee injury. However, both ailments seem to be in his past as he supplants Joselu for a spot in the starting XI.
