Walters (knock) is starting Tuesday against Manchester United.

Walters was held out of last weekend's FA Cup match due to the knock, but he was never expected to miss considerable time, and he'll slot back into his now-regular role in the first XI, though Peter Crouch will lead the line.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Walters was held out of Saturday's FA Cup match against Crystal Palace due to a knock, but he trained lightly Monday and could play in Tuesday's Premier League match against Manchester United, manager Mark Hughes said.

Walters can chip in with a goal here and there, though his a very unreliable option in many fantasy leagues and is often overlooked by his more talented teammates such as Marko Arnautovic, Xherdan Shaqiri and Bojan.

Walters scored a goal on three shots (one on target) and added one dribble and one cross in the 3-1 home win over Norwich on Wednesday.

The versatile forward picked up a rare, of late, start in Premier League. Hes caught fire with that being his third goal in the four Stoke games of 2016 across all competition. Walters now has four goals and one assist in Premier League (seven goals across all competitions) for the season. Despite losing out his starting role the 32-year-old has proven yet again that he is very reliable every time hes given an opportunity to prove himself.

Walters headed in the equalizer on his lone shot on goal in 23 minutes off the bench in the 2-1 loss to West Brom on Saturday.

A beautiful pass from Joselu found Walters' header behind the Baggies' defense and with a ruthless finish the Potters leveled the score and almost managed to sneak out an undeserving draw. It was his third goal of the season, and he also has an assist, though with a fully healthy squad, Walters finds regular playing time very hard to come by.

Walters hammered a brace off three total shots (two on target) in a memorable 2-0 Ireland victory over Bosnia in a EURO 2016 play-off Monday.

The striker becomes an Irish legend with an epic performance. Two beautiful strikes, one from the penalty spot, launched the Green Army to the EURO finals in France next summer. He's now with eight goals in 15 games across all competitions for both Stoke and Ireland this season. Add a new contract with Stoke in his back pocket and he should be back in Premier League action with a double-boosted confidence. The Saints should be careful Saturday.

Walters signed a new contract with Stoke that will keep him with the club until the summer of 2018, reports the Daily Mail.

The forward's previous contract was due to expire at the end of the season. He has made more than 200 appearances for the team since joining in 2010.

Walters led Stoke with five shots in a 0-0 draw to Newcastle on Saturday.

Walters got the start at forward here and looked like the only Stoke player who had a chance to score in this match. He's been Stoke's most reliable players over the last three years or so and they desperately need him to get going to help out the offense. Forwards Mame Diouf and Peter Crouch have underwhelmed this season and it's unclear who the go-to striker is at this point in the season.

Walters (groin) is available off the bench Saturday against Watford.

Walters was held out of last weekend's match due to the ailment, and while he has recovered enough to make the bench, he'll sit while Joselu, Bojan, Marko Arnautovic and Xherdan Shaqiri lead the attack.
