Albrighton led Leicester with 10 crosses in a 1-1 draw with Tottenham on Saturday.

Albrighton has always been a dangerous weapon out of the midfield and this will continue to be his role this season. He'll be asked to attack down the flanks and could be a nice source of assists.

Albrighton notched another assist in Saturday’s 2-1 win against West Ham.

Albrighton found Riyad Mahrez in the opposing box and the latter made no mistake by making it 2-0 in the 38th minute. Albrighton now leads the way for the Foxes with three assists and a goal in just two games.

Albrighton scored a goal and added two assists in Saturday's 4-2 victory over Sunderland.

Albrighton provided excellent service on the first two goals of the game and provided some extra breathing room in the 66th minute with a goal of his own. After a tough start to his debutante season with the Foxes last year, he closed strongly with two goals and two assists in his final five appearances. The 25-year-old England national has never been much of a goal scorer, but has always been an excellent crosser and can provide plenty of helpers over the course of the season.

Albrighton, who missed Leicester's Premier League opener against Everton last weekend due to a groin injury, came on in the 68th minute for Riyad Mahrez during Saturday's 2-0 loss to Chelsea.

Albrighton made his Leicester debut with his substitute appearance after joining on a free transfer this summer from Aston Villa, where he spent the last 16 seasons. Leicester don't have a ton of high-value fantasy performers and unfortunately for Albrighton, his return to fitness doesn't change that fact.

Albrighton was unable to pass a late fitness test, but the groin injury is not expected to keep him out long. His next opportunity to play comes Aug. 23 against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Albrighton is dealing with a groin injury and he faces a late fitness test ahead of Saturday's Premier League opener against Everton. Manager Nigel Pearson said "Marc Albrighton is close but may not make the weekend."

Albrighton spent a majority of his career with Aston Villa, who released him this summer, allowing him to join newly-promoted Leicester City. He should get plenty of playing time, although that will come once he's fully fit.

Albrighton, who was released by Aston Villa on Friday, will join Leicester City on a free transfer, the club's official web site reports.

Albrighton spent 16 years at Villa Park, making 86 Premier League appearances, which will surely help the newly-promoted side.
