Evra helped Juventus to a clean sheet versus Monaco on Tuesday, providing one cross and attempting one shot in the process.

Although he is getting up there in age, Evra has proved to be a bargain after signing for peanuts during the summer. Evra has been a key part of Juventus' excellent defensive record this season, which will be put to the test against Lazio on Saturday.

Evra has joined Juventus from Manchester United for a transfer fee of 1.2 million, ESPN FC reports.

Evra spent the past eight-and-a-half years at Manchester United, where he won five Premier League titles and the 2008 Champions League. However, with the Red Devils bringing in 19-year-old left-back Luke Shaw this summer, the 33-year-old Evra was made expendable under new manager Louis van Gaal. Evra's Old Trafford departure was long anticipated and despite former Juventus boss Antonio Conte recently resigning, Serie A's defending champions still reeled in the accomplished Frenchman for a cheap fee.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Despite signing a new contract with Manchester United this summer, Evra may be nearing a transfer to Juventus, according to the Daily Mail.

Evra signed a new one-year contract with United earlier this summer, but Juventus is hoping to complete a transfer by the end of the week. Evra's position at the club has been in question, but looks even less necessary with the arrival of Luke Shaw.

Evra assisted on one of Karim Benzema's two goals during France's 3-0 win over Honduras in their World Cup opener on Sunday.

Benzema was a beast and Evra got the benefit of feeding the big man against a Honduras defense that was simply overmatched. However, Honduras are the lightweights of the group, so it will likely be a bit harder defensively for Evra against Switzerland and Ecuador.

Evra signed a one-year contract extension Friday, Manchester United's official web site reports.

Evra joined United back in 2006 from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco and has had great success with the side since then. He'll continue to be a decent fantasy play, given United's expected turnaround.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Juventus is angling to sign Evra to a two-year contract after contract talks this past weekend, reports the Daily Mail.

Evra has not agreed to a new contract with Manchester United, despite heir-apparent manager Louis van Gaal reportedly being interested in retaining the veteran defender. Evra scored one goal this season, but helped maintain 12 clean sheets, and offered five blocked shots to the cause.

Evra (knee) is in the starting XI for Sunday's Premier League match against Chelsea.

Evra has an ongoing knee problem but manager David Moyes cannot afford to sit him this week against Chelsea. With the Premier League taking next weekend off, Evra will be given a good amount of time to rest his balky knee.
