Coutinho took four shots (three on target) in Monday's goalless draw against Arsenal.

Coutinho was unlucky to have not scored in the opening minutes of the game when he cracked a shot off the crossbar. Time and again he was in the middle of the offensive buildup play and was stonewalled by Petr Cech numerous times on would-be scoring opportunities including another where the Czech goalkeeper was able to get only a fingertip on the shot. He's quickly proven himself as one of the best No. 10's in all of the Premier League.

Coutinho scored possibly the goal of the week on one of his three shots to give Liverpool the 1-0 win over Stoke City on Sunday.

After skying his previous attempt to the roof of the Britannia, Coutinho broke what looked to be a goalless draw on a masterful 86th-minute strike that had nowhere to go but the back of the net. With both second-half substitutions for Liverpool moving Coutinho forward into a more attacking position, he looked far more comfortable for the final third of the game. After scoring five goals in 35 Premier League appearances last season, the 23-year-old Coutinho looks to take the next step forward as he becomes one of the top attacking midfielders in the EPL.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Coutinho finished the 2014-15 season with five goals and five assists after 35 Premier League appearances.

Coutinho was highly involved in Liverpool's offense throughout the season as he managed to accrue 103 shots, 34 on goal, during his third year with Liverpool. Perhaps more importantly, the 22-year-old signed a mid-season deal that will keep him at Anfield through 2020. The club's intent to retain Coutinho suggests that the Brazilian will continue to play a vital role in the offense for years to come.

Coutinho took a staggering nine shots against West Brom on Saturday, although only two of them were on goal during the 0-0 stalemate.

Coutinho was the focal point of Liverpool's offense Saturday but he never managed to put one in the back of the net. With Daniel Sturridge's (hip) availability for Tuesday's match against Hull City uncertain, Coutinho may be in store for another abundance of opportunities after the short rest between matches.
